View Full Version : Could Use Some Local Multiplayer Clarification

*All of this is related to the X360 and how it handles profiles*

OK, just want to make sure I've got this right.

Major Nelson's interview with Alex stated something along the lines that in game progress is tracked by avatar and not band (like it was in GH).

Follow me for a second here. To me, that means I have an avatar with its own local career. I've played gigs and made my own money. I've outfitted my toon and bought my own stuff. I then have three other friends come over with their own profiles stored on memory cards.

If I were to move each profile to my system and had everyone log in to their respective instruments (much like you can to a controller), then would everyone gain band achievements and money related to the band's work or only the master profile? Or does only Player 1 get anything? Or something else, entirely? I'm confused.

I remember Alex (and maybe Sean and a few others) talking about how the game had basically two modes: solo career and band tour (yes I know there are more modes than this, but these are the only one's I care about and need an answer to). Solo career seems pretty clear, but I'm a little fuzzy about the details on multiple people (playing locally) on multiple profiles.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I would think that anyone that participated in the band would get the achievements not just the main profile. Similar to any multiplayer game, such as playing co-op if you both complete something you both gain the same achievement.
