Article from IGN here. (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/825/825091p1.html)
Some pretty cool stuff I guess. Although it's confirmed that there's no online co-op  lame
There's also some disconcerting news for you PS3 owners out there... Seems like that version of the game is having some problems. That sucks.
Anyway, I checked to see if this had been posted and couldn't find it anywhere. The article is from Friday so it's a few days old. Sorry if I reposted. But if not, enjoy!

As a PS3 owner you scared me that the game might be delayed or something. The dongle really doesn't bother me, as Rock Band will be the same. And honestly, I don't care if the crowd doesn't look all that great. On a game like this my eyes have always been on the fretboard where it says apparently the notes look brighter and sharper.
I actually thought there were some serious problems.

They could put a little more effort to make the crowd the same as 360 but i dont really care i wont get Guitar Hero until next year , RockBand!

No online co-op? When they have 5 songs unlocked through co-op only? AND they fd up the PS3 verision? Well PS2 verision for me for sure,if anything at all now. This is why you don't let new devs take over franchises. This game doesn't seem worthy of the GH name and they should've renamed it.

lol, Yeah it's nothing too big, just "disconcerting." The online thing where the PS3 is "a bit off" on the timing seemed like the bigger issue out of all the small issues (if that makes any sense). But yeah the graphics is TOO big of a deal. Just seems weird that the PS3 graphics would be worse than 360. Like the article said, if anything it should be just as good...

If a third song is needed to break a tie, the game randomly decides who will get to select it.
picks a random person to pick a tie breaking song? that just ruined gh3 online head to head.

The face off, pro face off, battle, and co-op modes all exist online, though you can't play through the co-op career mode with an online friend.
There is online co-op, but it's not career. Although, I thought there was no co-op quickplay. WTF? So confused.

I was hoping, with Blu-Ray, they'd expand on the crowd, animations, and crowd interaction (like the stage dive).

I read this article when it first came out. Fairly informative. I'm really disappointed about no online co-op, since I really want most of the co-op songs but there is no way I'm buying two controllers with Rock Band on the way as well!
I was also not surprised to hear that the Wii online experience would be severely lacking. Another reason I am a very happy 360 owner at this point, and my Wii is gathering dust.

I didn't expect them to do much expanding. Not this year anyway. The reason the PS3 version has the dongle at least for GH3 was because of time constraints, so I really doubt the expanding crowd was too high on their to-do list, IMO

It breaks down like this:
Local | Online
Career Yes | No
Quickplay No | Yes
But... why? I might understand no online career, but why no local quickplay? That makes no kind of sense.

That's what I thought too. Sooo confused.
