Help with PS3 issue please

I have a 1080i TV running from components cables. I've been playing Motor Storm in 1080i with no problem.. Till now. All of a sudden when I click on the game in the menu (in 1080, mind you) my TV suddenly decides to drop into 480. It happened on some demo and not on others. I tried going over the settings three times and restarted the machine twice. Anyone else have this happen? I'd appreciate any input as this is totally ruining my day.

I think this may help, but I'm not 100% sure.

1. Hold down PS3 power button until it makes one beep and the light turns red.
2. Flip main power switch in back to off position for 5 seconds.
3. Flip main power switch back on.
4. While light is red, hold down the power button, it will turn green/blue when you press it down. Hold it down until it beeps 3 times and it will shut off on it's own and turn red.
5. Hit the button that is red to start it up normally.

It will start up in 480. Just go to display settings make sure check the box that has component cables because after doing the above it will switch to the composite cable option, and check all the boxes up to 1080i.

Nope... same problem. The Motor Storm game is still kicking down to 480p. As soon as I exit game and get back to the menu's it goes back to 1080. Stranglehold demo likewise does the same thing. All the rest stay in HD. I'd hate to have to take it back but I will, I mean the game WAS in 1080 this morning.

Ughh! Nevermind, I just checked the back of the box and MotorStorm is set to run at at 720p and that is why it downscaling... I don't know why.. But I swear it looked better this morning. I'd be willing to bet Strangleholds demo is 720 too.
