Um....that's not it.

For the instrument icons, you need to complete the Endless Setlist; for the transperant instruments, you need to complete the Ultimate Setlist. For platinum, your whole band has to be playing on expert (it goes by the lowest difficulty: expert platinum, hard gold, medium vinyl).

for the transperant instruments, you need to complete the Ultimate Setlist.

Wtf is the Ultimate Setlist? The transparent instruments comes from the Hall of Fame set.
