Gold Stars

I have read that you can get gold stars. How do you get them, and how is it different from getting 5 stars? Can you get them on Easy Mode too? Is it for solo tour? Is it for the PS2 version of the game?

It's only in expert mode on all instruments, and you get it by reaching a certain point value (not necessarily 100% notes hit). Usually it's somewhere around 1.5x the score needed to hit 5 stars on expert. They're available in solo and band modes, both tour and quickplay.
