So, anybody who knows anything about '80's movies will recognize The Cars' "Moving In Stereo" from the Phoebe Cates topless "fantasy" scene from the movie Fast Times At Ridgemont High.

The addition of this song to the Rock Band library has got me wondering, will we get anymore songs from the soundtrack to this '80's classic?

Or, is it just a coincidence that they added the song that played during one of the most (in)famous scenes in movie history?

I for one wouldn't mind if they added the theme song from Fast Times At Ridgemont High.

What does everybody think?

I've never seen the movie but I sure hope we get the last one listed.
Already had We Got the Beat in GH 80's. American Girl by Tom Petty would be good too.

While I made this thread with the intention of dedicating it to the soundtrack from Fast Times At Ridgemont High, I have decided to open it up to other '80's movie rock soundtracks.

I wouldn't complain about getting songs from the soundtrack to Heavy Metal. Since Sammy Hagar had songs on both, perhaps we could get a Hagar pack with "Fast Times At Ridgemont High", "Heavy Metal" and "I Can't Drive 55"? :)

I don't think the inclusion of Moving in Stereo had anything to do with the movie. Like you said, probably a coincidence.

It probably is coincidence, but I think that there is an opportunity to get some good '80's songs in Rock Band.

Also, on-line last night and today, there were a lot of comments about that song that mentioned Fast Times At Ridgemont High.

Yeah, getting "Kashmir" by Zep and "Somebody's Baby" by Jackson Browne for the game would be pretty damn cool.

But the Zep will never happen, they keep all their stuff locked down like you wouldn't believe. HMX would have to charge an arm and a leg for it just to break even, if they even managed to secure rights to get it in game in the 1st place.

I think it's all coincidence, for instance Guitar Hero 2 + 3 both had songs either featured in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and the movie Dazed and Confused but neither game really had any follow-up.
