I have the EL set and all my other pads are fine.

Any other tips or mods to help revamp my yellow pad?

The first EL set that I had also had this problem with the yellow pad losing its sensitivity. The best advice that I can give you is to RMA the whole set to EA and then hope that you receive a better set in return from EA.

I don't mind that, it's just that I use the drum so much that I feel like a few weeks without it, I'd be lost.

..but I probably will do it with Finals and such coming up.
