When they announced 41 different venues, I just didn't believe it.
Based on the small handful of venues in the Guitar Hero, I expected the 41 to be some sort of contrived number that included a lot of copy/paste or some fishy math to count the same place multiple times.
But on the look of "The Establishment" and "Empire Square Garden", I'd say the art department definately pulled its weight. Since the venues are going international, I can't wait to see what flavor the non-U.S. venues are going to have.

That was a cool little interview. Something a little different for a change. I'm really excited to find out how the Band Tour mode works going through all the different cities and what not. I love the way the venues and crowds look too! Good stuff! Can't freakin' wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet a first glimpse at some of the venues! They look great.
I'm guessing Heebee Geebees is a reference to CBGBs?
Very cool looking I really cannot wait to see more of these venues, I really love the artistic style of Rock Band, it just looks amazing!

Well, you can start in one of 12 different cities (probably the cities listed in the hometown section of the character creation screens), and it looks like each city has three venues, which gives us 36. So I'd imagine there's gonna be like five "super" venues or unlockable venues as well.
Everything's looking great as always. A lot of people think that these games don't need a nice graphical edge, but HMX's art department has always come through and shown that, not absolutely necessary, a strong art design can do wonders for any game.

I agree that when I heard there were going to be 40+ venues I was a little worried that we'd have 5 base ones with different pallet swaps or something thrown together like that. I really like the direction that Rock Band is going in, that is towards realism, as opposed to say.. Guitar Hero 3. I'm getting really pumped for the band world tour mode.. really, really pumped

I love that video. The art styles represented by all the venues are VERY impressive. The interview also answered a few question about how Band World Tour will work.
I think the venue the article lists as the stadium for Los Angeles is incorrect - the video says it's the LA Thunder Dome, while the text says the Wilshire Forum (sounds like something in the UK).

My favorite part of the interview:
9. Can you pick which city to begin your Rock Band career mode in?
Yes! You can start in 12 different cities, but everyone probably will want to start in Boston anyway. Because it's wicked pissah.

They can do it! They CAN fit 40 unique venues in one game! They can organize them without it being a pain!
I believe! I BELIEVE!

AWESOME!
Absolutely FREAKING awesome!
I just can't get over the level of detail discussed in sections 6 and 7. Plus, the description of World Tour Mode in section 10: flawless-- 100% logical.
Nov 23rd can't come fast enough.
