I love rock band but one thing i wish it had more of is some newer hard rock bands. I mean during the late 90's and early 2000s those bands were dominating radio. And even now, there are plenty of good hard rock bands. Here's some bands i'd like to see: Deftones, Sevendust, Nonpoint, Taproot, Chevelle, Skindred, Breaking Benjamin, 3 Days Grace, Helmet, Ill Nino, Evans Blue, Adema, Korn, Staind, Cold, 10 Years, Finger Eleven, Thornley, Crossfade, Deadsy, Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, Earshot, Egypt Central, Ashes Divide, Tool, Hurt, Seether; really I could list more, but it'd be nice to see at least a few of those bands on rock band.
Also a good progressive rock band to include would be a band called Dredg, who have kind stayed under the radar, but anytime you go to their shows it's packed out. Awesome music.
And what about 311? They could be considered a 90s band because that's when they first came on the scene with hits like All Mixed Up, Down, Come Original, Homebrew and my fave by them Beautiful Disaster. Just some suggestions. Please consider some of them.

Yeah, Broken Down by Sevendust is one of my favorite songs.
I also wouldn't mind some Evanescence, especially off "Fallen".

Well, disturbed should be coming out soon. They kind of go along with your examples.

Yeah hopefully Disturbed is just a start on getting some of these other bands in the future.

Agreed, need some bands from that age and that heaviness. It is a big gap in RB.

I totaly agree. They need some Children of Bodom. I would never stop playing the new album or Thrased, Lost, and Strung Out.

Sevendust
10 Years
Finger Eleven (not One Thing)
Deftones (first few albums)
Taproot (first album)
Adema (first 2 albums)
Staind (first 2 albums)
Dredg is ok, I don't consider them progressive though.
I don't have a problem with one or 2 songs from some of those bands but requesting them in such a broad way feels dangerous. I mean some of those bands have a lot of horrible songs and I feel like we'd be getting only radio hits from them.
Take Staind for instance, I would love a 3 pack with Mudshovel, Just Go, and Home. 3 songs off of Dysfunction. But we would end up getting Outside, Its Been a While and some other garbage song.....
Finger Eleven - Would end up the same way, Paralyzer, One Thing, Some song off their new album to promote it when we should get something like Paralyzer, Above, First Time.

Paralyzer would be kick ass to play :)
I'd also throw in some Trivium, Five finger Death punch, Korn, Static-x, American Head Charge, Mushroomhead, Dope, In flames, System of a Down, Marilyn Manson, Avenged Sevenfold, White and Rob Zombie, Atreyu, Red, All that remains, Disturbed, Godhead, Saliva, Powerman 5000, Staind, Soil, Spineshank, Stone Sour, Drowning Pool, Fear Factory, Sanctitiy, The Showdown, Godsmack, Kittie, Mudvayne, Hell Yeah, Stereomud, Black Label Society, Gravity Kills, Drain Sth, Lordi, Machine Head, Union Underground, Crossbreed....
I beter stop this or I could go on all afternoon :D
