Can anyone that's hit one of the tour locations and tried the microphone reccomend a cheap mic stand? Is the mic a standard size? Hell, is there a standard size? I know nothing about mics, but I'd like to pick up a cheap stand before release, and don't want to end up with something that doesn't work.

you can get a cheap stand for probably under $10 at a decent store. doesnt need to be fancy since it's just for around the house. usually a clip will screw on to the stand. the clip is what will hold the mic. most of em are tapered and pretty universal, but i havent seen the rock band mic to know for sure. if there's no proper clip supplied, clips are sold separately too and are cheap as well.

Yea, the mic is standard, so any stand should do the trick. While at the show there were a few bands that took advantage of a mic stand that they had on stage. Hope that helps!

Speaking on the same subject any chance of a Mic Stand being packaged with the Special bundle ?

I guess it's possible in a future bundle (maybe they'll eventually come out with a bundle including everything: game, mic, mic stand, drum set, guitar, and another guitar). But the special bundle available now has no mic stand.

Mmhm i guess i will have to get one at GuitarCenter same day RockBand comes out

I don't think it will be at first, but I know that it says there will be a mic stand made available at some point, I assume that eventually it will become standard in the large bundle, and probably even bundled in with the microphone.
