xbox wireless adapter problem

my wireless adapter did connect to my router on my xbox before it broke so i sent that off and my friend lent me his spare xbox so i plugged in my wireless adapter and now the red light comes on on the adapter but it cant find my router/computer even though it did before can someone please help me because its starting to annoy me

Um, have you gone into the network settings in your friend's xbox? Maybe you need to change it so that it can find your wireless network. Doesn't hurt to look for troubleshooting information in the manual for the wireless adapater either.
