Just so you guys won't fret about me, I found out that my husband has been having an affair for some time now with some bimbo he works with.
I had been having suspicion but I kind of pushed it out of my mind. I am fine for right now. I am amongst friends and my boss has given me a week off with pay to get things straightened out.
I am trying to figure out why he would do this and what I did (or didn't do) to cause this to happen. Anyhow, I am doing a lot better today than I was yesterday.
Thanks for the responses. I appreciate it.

I think the "emo" stage has passed me by for the time being. I thought that I would be in worse shape than I am in now...
I am just left with questions that will probably never be answered.
Unfortunately, upon returning home there is no sign of Rock Band or a console to play it on.:( I would like to take my frustration out on some RB drums right about now. Looks like he got all of his clothes and belongings too. He did leave a note that made me want to vomit.
So now I am faced with the decision of what direction my life takes now.
Anyhow, thanks for the replies. I may stick around and chat for awhile. I am feeling kinda lonely...:)

I am sorry to hear what happened frizzy. If your husband can't appreciate abeautiful, sweet, intelligent woman, then it's his loss. But you seem like you're dealing with it alright, so that's good. I think you should look into Shredder's "punch him in the pipi" advice though.
Anyway, hope everything works out fine for you with all of this.

Since you're past the emo stage then it's time to move the the rebound stage. A hot and steamy affair with me would be the perfect way to get revenge on him. LOL ;)
Lol.
But, yeah, I'm glad you're better frizzy. He certainly phailz more than this,

If a man that I had been with for 8 years could do me like that...

Uhh, the last time I heard, gays and lesbians were experiencing the same problems that straight couples were having. So becoming lesbian might not solve your problem.
From my experiences, most people are sexual animals. Both men and women have an animal like nature when it comes to sex. Don't you?
You might want to think things through on whether you divorce or not. At this point in time he has relinquished his authority to you in all ways. In other words you are in the drivers seat and can take this as an opportunity to shape the rules of the marriage. If he is truly sorry he will accept your rules and you can move on.
Eh. I don't want to discuss any of that right now.
I am filing for divorce tomorrow though. I could never trust him again.

Pretty much the only option, I imagine. Once trust is gone...well, that's about it. You can only go so long under an illusion, while underneath suspicion just gnaws away...trust is key. And once lost, it's impossible to regain. At least for me.

Hey i know it dosnt mean much but I have been in your shoes.

My first relationship before my current g/f ended in the same manner... and i could not trust her again. Breaking it off was the only recorse i had.

That's usually the smart thing to do. My wife and I have separate bank accounts as well, and we even got a pre-nup when we got married... although the latter is mainly to keep part of our (or on paper 'her') possessions safe if my company would ever go belly-up (not likely, but you never know). Still, I think common sense and romance should go hand in hand, even when you get married :D

Some trolls love big words. They're so full of themselves and the superiority of their opinions, they have to show how smart they are. In the end, they're still just trolls and should crawl back to the primal soup that spawned them.

Yeah. That was tflash9.
He said that I was trying to sound intelligent when I really wasn't smart at all. To top it off, another poster that I kind of respected, chimed in and said that I was oversaturating my post with too big of words. He then suggested that I use more casual words, such as MOAR and L33T.

Drama's reasonably civil, but overly negative...that and his posts tend to be a bit ****-filled, for my tastes. Anyone who's a fan of Deadwood (as I am) can tell you that there's a time and a place for some good cussin', but forum posts aren't either.

Cool to hear about your little girl, Fatal_T. My brother's eldest son is also well underway to the dork side, since he attended his first ever LARP event with us a few weeks ago and is already itching until he can go to the next one.
I'm lucky enough to have a wife who shares most of my hobbies... whether it's running through the woods in medieval garb or jamming out on Rock Band, she's game. Wouldn't have it any other way... Married life wouldn't be as fun if I couldn't share the things I was passionate about with my wife. So Frizzy, although I'd advise against cruising the RB forums for men, I do think that you should make the men you date in the future pass Run to the Hills on expert on an instrument of their choice before they're allowed to go out with you. Unnatural selection, if you will :D

The worst is still to come, but getting through the initial stage of pain and depression is a big helper.
Just know that people on these forums who barely even know you still think you're wonderful and love you to death.
That goes to show that the husband who threw all that away was likely not worth it to begin with, and you just might be better off without him. I'm not much for philosophy myself, but if I've learned anything in my time on this rock it's that whether things like this happen for a reason or not, they still make us better people for it in the end, and the next one that comes along will probably be better for you because of what you've gone through(and more likely to make you happy because of it).
I hope the next few weeks go as well for you as possible.

I believe RB is about $150 over there, right? The cost of the PS3 itself depends on what size hard disk you want in the beastie... the cheapest option (and for us Euro's, the only option) is the 40 GB version, which should cost $400 or so. Maybe some savvy American posters know places better deals, though.

FYI: The 60GB is your best bet, if you can find it. They don't make it anymore, and it's $500, but it was the last console that had PS2 hardware in it; the 80GB has an emulator that covers roughly 80% of PS2 games and the 40GB has no PS2 compatibility. The 60GB and 80GB both have 4 USB ports (the 40GB has only 2) and the 20GB has no wireless built-in, whereas the rest do.
The only other trade-off, aside from the obvious hard drive size, is the newest 80GB comes with a DualShock 3 controller, and is clearly marked as such.
I say if you can find a 60GB, that's the one you want. Check GameStop for a used one too. I'd go used 60GB (and maybe the warranty) if you have no option for a new 60GB one.

I plan to do that when I get married, when that day comes.

Me too, but without the Merlot. Not a wine drinker. Good to see that you're not one of those people who ruin a good piece of red meat by cooking it longer than necessary, though. People that cook a steak well done make me cry.

Regarding your DLC, did you have a credit card account set up on your PS3 account? If so, and if it was yours, you should make sure that you cancel it, so that no more charges can be made to it.

Okay. I am on the phone with American Express and I am listening to Celine Dion hold music!http://bestsmileys.com/panic/3.gif
Will I make it through the atrocious credit card company's hold music or will I simply give up the fight...
Stay tuned....

ack... is it all Celine, or just that song? I never understood why people like her music (and I use that term loosely)

hmmm, I just thought of something. If you cancel your credit card, won't that cause a problem when comes the time to get back all your DLC you bought with that card? :(

I think that as long as you keep your PSN account, you can change credit card #s and still re-download all your old DLC.
I'm not positive though.

Hey Sara. Sorry I came into this a little late. But you know I am always here to talk and help and be of support. Let me know if I can help in any way. My heart goes out to ya :)
In other news. I am a possessor of many swords and knives. Let me know if you need to borrow any.

You can make enough time to read the first couple pages. Show that you care enough about her to atleast spend two minutes for her.

Right well the forums have had enough drama today. I think I might go play some Rock Band if anyone is on PSN and has some pop rock possibly the blondie lets play. Pop rock makes me happy

Wow frizzy. I am really sorry to hear about this.
You are a beautiful girl and you will get through this. I am surprised that men aren't lining up at your door right now. Hang in there.
