Bono you suck.
Okay EA has (finally) engulfed two of the finest indie devs out there. Pandemic and Bioware. Boo.

I just prefer devs to stay indie. Because when and if EA wants to go all dictator on their companies they can.
Not to mention my dream was eventually Bioware would've become the next Ubisoft (before they put out all this casual junk).
Like Criterion and Black. I blame EA for not properly supporting it as a trilogy.
It just has a risk of suffocating the devs I don't feel comfortable with.

What does Bono have to do with this? Beyond the fact that the crappy (pun intended?) episode of South Park was yesterday.
I can see EA dragging down BioWare so that they can make maximum sales. Good thing everything goes into effect after Mass Effect is released.

"IPs will transfer over to EA, and the company noted that Mass Effect is published by Microsoft, but the intellectual property now belongs to Electronic Arts and would conceivably from here out be EA published." http://www.gamasutra.com/php-bin/news_index.php?story=15833
So I guess we can see Mass Effect on PS3.

Wouldn't be surprised, EA is all about multi-platform games (best way to make $)

Yeah.
Oh and Bono oversaw a merger of finances between Pandemic and BioWare. So you buy one you buy both.

I agree. I mean, it's not like EA's marketing muscle has hurt Burnout much, but let's face it, Criterion aren't calling the shots by themselves anymore.
(Also, I wouldn't mind seeing Black II. I thought the first game had a lot of potential that Criterion would be able to utilize better with more powerful hardware).

Eh, I used to like the Need for Speed series (see name) but it all went downhill after the first underground game. Pro-Street's just a continuation of this tradition, at least in my eyes. They claim it's a simulator, but so does Gran Turismo.
On a semi-related note, did anyone ever beat the last freakin' guy in Carbon? I came so close, so many times...

I'd like to state at this time my dislike for EA. I have had a problem with them ever since the whole "Don't-Pay-Overtime" scandal. Granted, the employees eventually won, you shouldn't have to class-action your employer to get your paycheck balanced with your overtime. EA is an evil company.
Also, a friend of mine had to move to Canada to keep his job with EA... and he was a good kid. Now all he talks about is hockey and milk in bags and he calls me a "hoser".

I wasn't too impressed with Black. Sure the environments were excellent, but the game play was like all the other FPS and the story line left alot to be desired. 2.5/5
I'm actually waiting to see how KZ2 comes out. Yes I know it's off topic.

I dunno...something about NFS: Pro Street looks appealing...maybe the customization? Maybe the emphasis on racing and not running from cops. Dont get me wrong, Carbon wasnt bad, but I got kinda tired of dealing with the cops. Ultimately the old Need For Speeds for Playstation 1 were the best. Back when EA used to be just called Electronic Arts and had a cooler logo. I will most likely pick up Pro Street as long as it has one certain car in there.

Ah, my Viper just couldn't beat him, got down to .2 seconds or something on the counter for passing and he'd ram me off a cliff.

Are you guys really mad at EA? They're publishing Rock band with little to no interference and maybe they're turning over a new leaf. Maybe they won't do anything weird.

To reveal the lameness of EA, play Command and Conquer: Red Alert, then play Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. It is fail!
