i was thinking about the singers on the game...
what about songs that have a girl singing? are they not going to be put in the game?
or what about girls who want to sing?

I was kinda assuming (read: really hoping) that they'll have both in the game! I, personally, have no problem singing any girl stuff like Heart or whatever they want to throw in there! As long as it rocks.
P.S. I'm a boy.

I was wondering this as well. I take it that there hasn't been any posts to say that all vocals will be male then? Somewhat worryingly, when i've been dragged in to playing singstar and the likes at family gatherings, i've been far more successful at the female vocals. Also, I actually quite enjoyed the addition of tattooed love boys to GH2.

Anyone remember the male/female ratio in Karaoke Revolution? Been so long since I played, I don't remember the breakdown. But that might give us a clue what to expect.

if I remember right, the singstar series (I'm not sure if this is a UK brand or not) had a slight female bias, even on the "Rocks" one. That said, it did class the awful pop garbage of gwen stefani and avril lavigne as rock music, so it's not the best judgement.

In the western sector, females probably do get into karaoke more than males I'd wager; explaining Singstar's position.. but yeah, I think the genre itself (which is more of a male bias) will most likely dictate how Rock Band plays it..

well, as long as you are singing the correct notes, I don't think it really matters if it's male or female singer. I recommended a Tracy Chapman song to RB and no one should have any trouble singing it.

Well it is tough to call whether or not Tracy Chapman is a male or female singer sometimes ;) But fair call, as long as the lyrics aren't about having babies and menstural cycles males should be able to sing them without much concern.

I hope there are a good number of female vocalists in RB (i am a guy)
I would love to hear my friends try to match a woman's voice as the pitch rises because we all know us guys will never be able to get the very high pitched notes so it would be a blast to hear guys trying to
Plus then it also encourages you to befriend a girl or more so you can more closely match the real thing
that would of course work the other way around for girls too
