Ringu...not the Dreamworks remake, the original Japanese movie.

Jack Nicholson in The Shining's always worth a look.

And if you want true terror...for all the wrong reasons...Plan 9 From Outer Space. Believe me, it's a lot better than all the **i* Uwe Boll keeps crapping out.

-----
The Metal: Unabridged Version

Punk Rock: Sank into Swamp
New Wave: Sank into Swamp
Grunge: Caught Fire, Fell Over, Sank into Swamp
The Metal: Strongest in these Woods but Still Looking for a Bride with Huge Tracks of Land

I know, I saw it already, but I just wanted to see the sequel anyway. I know I'm in for a suckfest.

The 3 Ginger Snaps movies and of course Ghostbusters.

The first one was great, the second was ok and the third just plain sucked.

Fatality is a good one. I also recommend both the original and remake of the Hitcher. check out my other thread for some good suggestions as well.

Not really scary but creepy - I'd recommend Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer.

Manos: The Hands of Fate
Demons 3: The Ogre
The Satanic Rites of Dracula

Your friends will hate you for screening these, but it'll be worth it, trust me.

PLANET motherf*cking TERROR

aside from that; original Night of the Living Dead, Zombie's House/Devil's series, 28 Days/Weeks Later, Dark City, Saw series.

Anything Hitchcock or Stephen King.

Unless you meant gore-scare ones. I don't know any of them.

Avoid White Noise like the plague. Bloody terrible.

Anyway, you can't beat alien invasion films from the 50s/60s.

Check out Versus, the Japanese movie. That movie rocks. I wish I had a laser sight on my katana.
