Just a thread to see who you think are underrated musicians, singers, guitarists, bassists, drummers, keyboard players you name it. (apologies if this has been done before)

I think Chris Wolstenholme of Muse is a massively underrated bassist. Listen to the opening of Hysteria, and you'll be convinced.

yeah i made a topic like this in history of rock a while ago... i think it probably sunk though

as for the hysteria opening, its really not that complicated. it was one of the first bass licks i learned actually. plus its played throughout basically the rest of the song.

on the topic of bassists, listen to protest the hero("no stars over bethlehem" is probably their best bass song) and the fall of troy("seattlantis", "the dark trail", and "ghostship V" come to mind) also the human abstract("crossing the rubicon" and "nocturne" have amazing basslines)

Crossbreed is an underrated band. I think they are great and have tons of potential.

You're thinking of Dominic Howard. Wolstenholme is the drummer.

Anyways, I think the entire band UFO are highly underrated. And Mick Ronson of David Bowie is a great guitarist.
