Played the GHIII Demo

Was actually pretty good. Very fun, the guitar is awesome (no strap). The game felt the same, except Star Power felt shorter (to me) and the window was WAY open.

Still couldn't five star The Metal. xD The breakdown is harder than it seems.

whooo. I live 5 minutes from a Game Crazy. But they are making it larger and cutting it more into Hollywood Video so I don't know if they have demos set up.

It had many demos, but the guitar was hooked up and GHIII was one of the demos. :D

I just got back from playing it :D
We have one Gamecrazy around that I've heard of, so I called, and they had it up.

We went up there about 6, and played for about 3 hours. My friend and I are pretty good at GH so we kinda scared everyone away who might have wanted to play, haha. The workers there didn't mind. They're a lot cooler than Gamestop workers, and all of them pretty much hate Gamestop, lol.

Ok, so the guitar. Amazing. Simply amazing. There wasn't a strap... :(
The fret buttons are easier to press in, it seemed. Which was nice, and it made sliding a lot more easy. The strum bar is awesome. It's definitely my favorite part of the new guitar. It's clicks are a lot more defined, I guess. You can tell a lot easier when you have strummed or not... It's hard to put into words. That was one of my gripes with the RB guitar. The strum bar was "loose". The whammy was sort of unresponsive. I'm sure this can be fixed by the new "Calibrate Whammy" feature, though. I didn't try the feature out, so I don't know if it actually does work.

The five songs were easy. :( I really wanted some harder ones on it. The Metal was the hardest. It took me 3 tries to five star. My favorite was Even Flow. I think I played that one 5 times. :D

The timing has been opened. I didn't notice it that much, but you could tell it was easier. The singer scares the hell outta me. His mouth opens big enough to swallow your soul...
The drummer still looks like a stick. He's got the most mechanical movements ever. The characters are really detailed. All this doesn't really matter to me though. I'm always looking at the fret board.

Seriously, find a Gamecrazy near you, and go play this. Now.

I usually go hang out at the GameCrazy near my house for an hour on teh weekends sicne one of my friends works there (this just gives me something to do while waiting for RB)

Anyone ever realize how many people only play on medium? I was there hanging out for an hour or so and everyone who wasn't me or my friend played on Med.

Great.
Game is good, it was a little weird though. The shinyness of the notes distracted me and made it hard to realize what I hit and didn't hit in fast passages. It was fun, The Metal Was really fun, not really hard as some have claimed. The guitar was brilliant. The buttons were awesome, the strum bar is the best part as stated before. The Whammy sucks. They say they made it easier to press the select button for star power but I don't see how. The SP took a bit more umph to get going. I think there were some poor spots to put sp in.. But it was good. They did a good job on this game. I like it much more than I thought I would. Now I can only hope the Guitar for the PS2 version will be as good.

It wont be worth it without the guitar, im upgrading my reserve to the bundle just because it wont be the same. I really really hope the guitar is as good for the ps2..
