I'm tired of the same type of post of the moment, the ones that were highly praising of Rock Band and everything it stands for joining the bandwagon that is Guitar Hero.
This is hype and nothing more. Is it a coincidence that GH:Metallica was filed just barely after the hype of World Tour started dieing down? Think about it. They are doing nothing more than striking while the iron is hot... and from these forums, you're all lambs to the slaughter of clever marketing.
You guys are bashing the same company who originated Guitar Hero, gave you Rock Band and have the best track record for DLC for variety of any game.
It's astonishing that, let's be honest here, a DLC disc is causing you all to lose faith in the company that gives you more than three new songs a week and on top of that a variety of music that really bridges ages, gender and skill level.
Just because they aren't jumping the gun and shouting Rock Band 2 from the rooftops or telling you what they have planned is because unlike a lot of companies, I firmly believe that Harmonix doesn't want to over promise and under deliver especially on a product that is most likely a while out.
Instead of losing faith, bashing and jumping bandwagons perhaps we could just give them time. I can't honestly believe anyone here thinking that Harmonix is going to sit, stay and roll over just because of a giant hype machine.
Give them time, because at the end of it all substance will trump style.
And yes, "Thread #248929 on the subject".

Haha. That actually made me laugh aloud.
And yes, "Thread #248929 on the subject".
Quite possibly. But at least it's in their defense. Come to think of it, nobody likes the posts where somebody stands up for HMX........
PS. How did you get a name like 'Flawless' without it being taken? Good job!:p

I have no idea, I usually have to get Flawless[Year of birth etc.]
Been using the handle since like '00 and this is one of the first places I've gotten it.
[It makes a great distraction for flames from people who can't debate well enough, I'm sure you'll see.]
And yeah, I think sometimes you have to match the loud vocal crowd.
