View Full Version : I Have The Ultimate Theme Song For Rock Band!

I was just sitting at my house watching a hockey game when, during a break in the action, the arena played the perfect song on the P.A. system that describes Rock Band. I believe that this song should be the theme song for Rock Band. The song is "Rock N' Roll Band" by Boston and the lyrics in the song are very fitting about the anticipation of this game, how everyone knows their name, people standing in line, but didn't seem to mind, everybody's waiting, play, play, play, etc. etc. Isn't harmonix also based in the northeast or even the Boston area? How fitting is that! Please post what you think about my idea. I know that Harmonix already has a theme song, but I think "Rock N' Roll Band" is more fitting for what the overall experience will be and how it describes Rock Band! Please send me some feedback!:cool:

and yes Harmonix is located in Boston (Cambridge)

Yeah, I've been sayin for a long while now that Rock N Roll Band should be in Rock Band. It's prefect and offers the best message possible about Rock Band: Make a band and play to your heart's content.

Foreplay/Long Tim would also be awesome! :D

Rock And Roll Band would be awesome, but if the rumors in that other thread are true then Foreplay/Long Time by Boston is already in. If this is true, I nominate "We're An American Band" by Grand Funk Railroad to be the new theme song.

From the E3 trailer and variety of songs played by HMX employees, I think we all know the theme song for RB is really Suffragette City. :p

This should be in every post-GHI game in some playable form. That song is the perfect opening song and (coincidentally) the first song of the rock music game phenomenon.

Nah, why waste a slot with a song that everyone has played already and is far too easy to even be fun to play?

I don't want it as a setlist but to have a different cover version would be fun. I'm sure some indie band could spice it up.

That's just me though and as easy as it may be I find it fun. Just one of those things. It's more fun to sing along with though.

Agreed. Agreed. I never said it was their best.

I'm not trying to make this a thing. I was just saying it's one of my favorite opening song choices and ironically the first song on the first Guitar Hero. Really I just love it for the subject matter and the chorus which is wicked fun to sing in a room full of people.
