Interesting Rock Band dream.

Well, I had a dream that I finally got my hands on Rock Band. Well, it was SEVERELY disappointing.

In the dream, the guitar was really thick and light, and it was made of some kind of basketweave materal. The strum bar was a wooden slide mechanism, and it had no whammy bar. It felt like if I squeezed it hard enough, it was going to shatter. It was a piece of crap! Now, I know the real guitar won't be like that, but in the dream I was really disappointed.

I also got my hands on the drums. I dreamt that the parts that would actually be hard to play on drums were easy, and the ones that were easy were made out to be hard. For example, the hi-hat hits on the seperate pads were really difficult to reach because of the hi-hat being on the right. Not accurate at all. Oh, and flams were represented by two pad hits at the same time, rather than being played like an actual flam. However, the drums were very sturdy. Felt like playing on practice pads.

That's pretty much it. I realize that I forgot a lot of the details that made the dream interesting, but I just remember the basket-weave guitar really well.

Note that this is a dream and does not reflect my actual feelings on Rock Band. If it wasn't a dream, then crap...

HA! I love dream threads! Don't feel ashamed dude, especially since there's already a thread like this somewhere on this board and a lot of people responded.

I also had a RB dream a few weeks ago. I was at an EB Games or some such store, and saw that they were already selling the bundle. Not only that, but it was priced at $93.90! The other weird thing was that the box was way too small to be able to hold everything. It was about as big as two 360 console boxes stuck together. I asked the cashier about it, but that's all I can remember.

Haha, I had a similar dream.

Except I only tried out the drums(it was short dream), and they ran out of drum sticks, so they handed me two drinking straws as a replacement. I was pissed, then I woke up.

Yeah, I've had a Rock Band Dream one, really short, but it was pretty cool, but it kinda sucked. I was all anticipated, it started like, halfway through, I was already at the front of the line, I got it, and somehow, there was a TV in the store, so I opened the box and started playing, but all I could play was some really bad drum solo, and the notes didn't even match up, and they didn't even like, work, I hit the drum, but it didn't register, and I was all pissed, then I woke up.

Anyway, it seems like we all have these dreams about Rock Band being way under par of what it should be. I sure hope these dreams aren't prophetic. I think we're so excited for this thing that we dread it not being completely awesome.

It's like those dreams we all used to have when we were little the night of Christmas eve (for those of us who celebrated that). You have a dream that you wake up and your presents either suck or are non-existent. I hightly doubt I'm the only one to have ever had those.

I had a pretty sweet RB dream, I got pulled over at the border (coming up from the states, Canadian prices were in old exchange rate), and the border patrol took me and my dad inside and we play Main Offender and Should I Stay or Should I Go.

It was pretty fulfilling, I woke up and tried my best to go back to sleep after, but I failed miserably.

Also, I can't see at all why anyone would torch you for having a Rock Band dream. Everytime I think about how fun RB is going to be, I cheer up knowing that I'm gonna be able to play it. And sometimes my friends see me smiling and go: "What are you thinking about, Chance?" and I go: "Uh, um........Na...Naked girls".

Dreams are way for your mind to escape. Some people are lucky and are able to control their dreams. I'm not there yet, but when I am....watch out world :)

Lol, i had a similar dream to yours, the drumsticks sucked, they weren't strong enough to hit the pads with, i eventually used my hands, but the notechart was all screwy and didn't resemble what was being played at all. Then i woke up and the song i was playing in my dream was on the radio.... More Than A Feeling.

Actually not at all. Seems people interpret dreams differently (who woulda thunk? :) )

I read his dream as saying the guitar is made of basket weave, was wood like and the drums were easier than expected in most situations and that they removed the nice flame effect and in turn replaced it with some two drum thing?

He later stated that it was just a dream, but if it wasn't....

This statement to me implies, he's worried about the build quality of the guitar and the difficulty of the drums, as well as the new effect they have placed on the notes when hit.

Again, dreams are interpreted many different ways. I'm glad I'm the only one that saw it was this. I was seeing him and his statements as a pessimist. Perhaps I was wrong?

Also, what's the point of divulging these "dreams"? It has no barring on this game and could only lead to strange/false rumors. ... "z0mg I herd in rock ban tht th3 guitar is made of w00d!"
