I have had the game just over month and a bit i`m not a superstar by anymeans but have been working my way up through the drums on medium. I just had enough recently, I knew something was wrong! I was missing easy notes and the pedal was not registering. I did the coin mod and now i`m 5 staring everything 97% or higher no problem! Longer note streaks! One other thing if you are playing on carpet that can be a bad setup for the pedal! Thank the world for the coin mod I love ROCKBAND AGAIN! No more throwing the sticks across the room! HARD DRUMS HERE I COME!!!!

I hear yeah on that, I have a EL set. I was starting to break my streak, and miss notes on easy songs. Well I got lucky, and get a new drum set off ebay for 24 bucks shipped. In the mean time I tried the penny mod out, well I finlay gold stared some songs 5 so far. :D

Yeah I just tried Say it ain`t so on Hard 5 starred it then went to expert and got 4 stars. Not bad considering I was about to give up. Practice! Hard doesn`t look that much different than Medium?

I'm not familiar with the coin mod. How does it work?

Thanks

I use the coin mod too. It works WAY better on fast rolls, but sometimes it seems to screw up on normal notes more often for me. I get both really good days and really bad days. It's prob just me thought :P

Hi guys,

I know I can take the pad off and check, but is there anyone out there that knows about both US and UK coins? The nickel looks about the same size as a 10p piece. Is that right?

a nickle weighs 5 grams.

Don't worry. The 10p piece works fine. It does increase the sensitivity - I still can't do Run to the Hills on hard though....I'll get there.

I'm going to do this now.
Is there a certain amount of 10p's I should put on each sensor or anything?

I myself use the eraser mod, and works better with my set than the nickel mod.

I just waited till my pedal broke when I started Expert on the RB1 disk and then duct taped a steel ruler and a long strip of metal like a splint down it. Works fine and extra sensative now.

I'd love to know what the hell copyright claim WMG can possibly have with this guy telling us how to mod a drumkit. I know, I'm going off topic.. but damn.

It's because of the songs he uses in the background.
