PS2 Question

Will this come with a plug for four players(Seeing as PS2 only has two) Or will we have to buy our own multiplayer plug to support two more people?

The x-box bundle comes with one, so i think the PS2 bundle probably will too. I don't think its been announced so maybe not... but probably.

I would think it would be a nice thing for them to do, similar to the xbox usb hub or else people are going to have to buy their own.


The PS2 has those USB ports doesn't it though? So maybe two controllers fit into that?

I would assume that Harmonix would kind of think most PS2 owners have a multitap by now but it does have those USB slots so who knows?

Yeah, my PS2 has 2 USB slots. I have one of the older models, however. Pretty much launch (and still works perfectly, I might add). I think the newer slim ones only have 1 USB slot. Also, I don't know if they are USB 1.0's or 2.0's, which might make a difference. I would think that if Harmonix is putting a hub with the 360 version, they are either planning on putting a tap with the PS2 bundle or have figured out a way around it. I don't think they would "assume" that everyone has the necessary hardware.

The new PS3 being released in the US next month (and available in EU, AU and NZ already) only has 2 USB slots too. The PS3 bundle probably wont come with a hub but you can buy them separately, I'll go look for one now....

Doesn't the PS3 have a receiver thing (dongle) that would work for every instrument? Or does it have one for every single instrument(peripheral)?
