If you live in or near Columbia, South Carolina. My gamestop (The one where I shop at/am good friends with all the guys) is holding a tournament October 27th. (The Monday before GHIII comes out).
The tournament will start an hour or so after they close (At 10ish), just to give people time to get there. We'll be playing Guitar Hero 3 in Battle Mode I assume. We haven't set any details up yet, because it was spontaneous and the dudes said "We'll do it just for you since you seem so into it, and it would hella lot of fun." If enough people go to the Game Stop in Northpoint Center (On Two Notch Road, the shopping center behind Ryan's / Sonic and in front of Wal-Mart) There's a possibility of a free copy of GHIII.
The manager is going to try and bring his 50 inch TV, for us to rock out as hard as we can, and as for now, that's all the details we have.

Damnit, Too bad I couldn't move back to SC when leaving Florida =\ I haven't seen a GHI or II tourny in georgia close enough for me to go. It's kinda depressing because I think i'd do pretty good.

I think she meant the 27th. The game is released on the 28th so it's probably like some sort of midnight release contest sort of thing.

Yeah, I meant the 27th, why would we have a pre-release tournament after the release? :P
What's going to be so fun about this is that nobody's going to have played any of the songs before (Maybe except for the demo songs) So it'll be a sight-reading competition pretty much. It's going to be sweet, even if it is only a couple people.
But unless people pre-order it here, we can't guarantee that good of prizes, other than a good time. The more pre-orders for a game, the more budget we get. So cancel your pre-orders and come here! :)
