If you don't like the xbox, I can see why you'd wait for the PS3 to get cheaper. Perhaps they'll announce clear intentions for the Wii and you can pick that up. Otherwise, yea pray for Expansion Disks.

When they first announced a PS2 version they also said they will release expansion discs featuring the DLC that other consoles will receive. I'm not sure how many of these there will be or how many songs will be featured on them. Also for that matter it has not been said how the songs will be chosen for it.

Why I don't want an Xbox?

Valid reasons.....starting with....

They appear to be made poorly, I don't care how long the warranty is, I don't want to have to use it. I hear too many stories about the Red Circle of Death or whatever.

I don't really care much for Microsoft....just a personal tick of mine.

The MAIN reason however, is if you look closely, it's a system made mainly for pc type games, you know....shooters and such. It's just not my style really. The first xbox was like that, I owned it but it just didn't have the games I liked. My main draw was RPGs, fighters, and racers. Xbox seriously lacked the fighters, the rpgs were NOT the kind I like(FF type)and the racing games...well....they were ok.

Playstation though.....while the games are starting off slow, and the price is still too steep....I see it doing well. The fact there are hardly any hardware issues already has me favoring it....the games will come, and they will be good. If only they hurry up and do something about the price....

Virtual Fighter is NOT my idea of a fighting game....King of Fighters, Guilty Gear...those are fighters....xbox's controller just doesnt feel right for that.

Grand Turismo is racing....Need for speed....

And yes....gears of war is a shooter. I don't like shooters.

Where's the rpgs? Oblivion doesnt count....its good on pc though with mods.

These are my opinions of course. There is nothing wrong with wanting or owning an xbox if it is your preference. It's just not mine, you know? It would be like really wanting a mustang, and buying a kia....

I'll just wait and hope they do release discs for the ps2 till i can get a ps3......

While I do respect your decision..I was a big PS fan but have no desire at this point to get a PS3 due to price and lack of good games.

PS3 has no FF or GT games as of now (fan of both myself)...while XB360 has been out with some amazing games for some time now..PS3 is expected to drop in price in November so you can always pick one up before you get Rock Band..well..if you have an extra $700. lying around :p

This coming from a guy who said his PS3 is gathering dust, so he's clearly not playing it, yet somehow isn't biased. I also love how a lot of people who defend the 360 claim they own all 3 new systems, to appear unbiased.

The biggest knock on a PS3 is its lack of games. But seriously, name all the exclusive games on a 360 that make it worth buying. I bet you can count it on one hand. (Note, games that are on the PC aren't exclusives in my book). And how long has the 360 been out? Two years now? And Halo 3 JUST came out? Bioshock JUST came out a month or two ago? Oh wait, Bioshock isn't an exclusive, under my definition. If I want to play it, guess what?, I can, because I have a PC.

Give PS3 it's two years, and then start bashing the games available. 2008 is looking really good for PS3 games, and you can't deny that. Plus, they're even squeezing in a few good games before 2007 ends.

I find it funny that a guy comes in here and does his best not to insult the 360, by saying its just not personally something he wants, but doesn't blame other people for liking it, yet the 360 fans find ways to be offended.
