Help i don`t know wear else to go to with my problem

ok my wammy bar broke and we called ea cause the site said I already had a replacement in place witch I did not so anyway thier was nothing they could do cause we are out of warrenty so they told my mom how to fix it but it jut got worse we lost the spring when she tried to fix it and now we don`t know what to do she wants to know if its possible to just get a replacement wammy bar from ea or harmonix?

I don't know if EA offers replacement parts of not, but if it is just the spring which failed but other wise the whammy works, you can fix it easily by wrapping a rubber band around the whammy bar and the attachment for the shoulder strap on that same side. It will make your whammy work at least as good as new if not better.

thanks but that wont work we lost the spring and can`t find it we just need to know if we can get a replacement wammy bar or not

You shouldn't need the spring, it has no functional purpose other than to allow the whammy bar to spring back into place after it is pressed. The rubber band will solve this issue as a replacement for the spring.

EA suggests you go buy a replacement guitar for $80 plus tax. I'm sure that's not to tough of a pill to swallow right? It's not like this game has a high cost of entry to begin with or anything. . . :cool:

Sorry bud, but I think your answer is figure out how to fix it or buy a new one. EA is done with customer service. Be sure to check out this weeks DLC!!! It's going to be great!

Next time be a little more clear with what you mean by broken and maybe people won't be confused. Like I said originally that the suggested fix only works if the whammy bar itself is not broken and it's just not springing back into place.

I also guess that even if EA sold replacement whammys you would have the same problem with the replacement that you had attempting to fix your original, so it would probably be safest for you to either send it in for a replacement (if it is covered under warranty) or purchase a new guitar.


I also have this sneaking suspicion that this whole thread is a big troll to start talking about the 60 day warranty without drawing the attention of the moderators to the duplicate.

this has nothing to do with the 60 day warrenty I only found out about that today my wammy bar broke on Saturday

if you want to spend money just buy a new guitar, cause they probably don't sell the whammy bar separately and i don't see why the would, cause thats a one in a million that it would break.
