wow, must say, after previewing them I'm kinda disapointed by the soilwork song.. used to be so crazy but this song was so tame. sad. I don't think I want to spend my money on it.

another mistake activision made was by ONLY letting these be sold indiviually. they need BOTH individual and group. Ugh.

plus isn't the indie pack meant to be able to be bought for gh3 once it hits? I would imagine this is the same.

I have always wanted a mariachi style guitar track in one of these games. For that reason, I got the Spanish track. It's very fun and reminiscent of Crazy On You for the note chart. The other two look like crap and I didn't buy either.

I totally don't approve of the new pricing structure though. The timing says to me that they're trying to gauge how much they can gouge people for on GH3 DLC. It's disappointing to see this, because I finally thought they'd learned a few lessons from all the pricing/bundling debacles of the past. If people were in an uproar at previous DLC offerings, the new $2.50 price point will be even worse. 150 or 175 MSP would have been a more tolerable price point.

Maybe it's a final "you gonna complain about the bundles, well here's more expensive singles a$$holes" gesture from Activision, so everyone will complain and they'll have an excuse to stick with bundles for GH3

Although, of course bundles should be cheaper... but the gh2 ones already seemed overpriced for what we were getting in the first place.

see, that's one of the problems I have.

I feel that activision is going to look at this, and the poor (presumably) sales of the songs, and say, ' well, now we know the consumer doesn't like x bands', when in fact, that is nowhere near true. I love (old) soilwork, but a boring guitar song is a boring song. if they simply picked something better and more fun to put up there there would be a massive difference.


and I don't think boring ass songs should cost the same as fun ones.

I picked up Sin Documentos. It's fun, but I kind of had to adjust to some of the strange timing decisions. A solid addition to the game.

At this rate GH3 DLC is going to break peoples wallets. Not mine unless it's one of my favorite bands.

I refuse to pay $2.50 a song. That starts to seriuosly add up!
