View Full Version : I Really Want To Know What You Think

Okay, I just really want to see this. I'm not gonna say my views except that I think that all genres should be represented, whether I like it or not. Now, would you rather just have the more basic rock and get more of one specific type, or would you like a wider range of genres with less of one specific type?

Spread it among the various genres. That way everyone gets what they want occasionally instead of one group all the time and the rest never.

I think there may be people who still haven't gotten a song they really love so far, and I would like to hear new types of music. I honestly wouldn't have though of listening to Molly Hatchet or The Outlaws prior to Rock Band, but I love GGaHT and FWD.

I know what your getting at because these forums get heated between "My genre vs your genre"

I think all genres should be represented.

But dont let some of these blow hards get to you. They just think they should be represented more then anyone.

I love some of the arguements I get into because sometimes after I read over what I type I sometimes makes my self go...wtf was I thinking there? lmfao

...though I think I go to far in some of my postings too lmfao

Case in point, HMX is doing fine, some genres are underrepresented, and it should be spread among all genres

A wide range is great, I think HMX had the right idea releasing Jimmy Buffet/Disturbed songs, it's as close as you can get to "something for everyone," and they're two completely different genres. Odds are people will like one or the other. :)

I voted for "many genres," although it would be great if they could get really deep into some of these genres. I like a lot of obscure music in addition to what I consider to be classic mainstream stuff (Stones, Beatles, Who, etc.), and it would be nice to be able to look forward to some of the lesser known bands being represented down the line.

Many genres for sure. Not only because it give more variety for those playing, it gives more variety in the patterns of notes that you get to play. Plus my library is pretty diverse (more than some I guess) so I would like to see songs from all corners of the music world. Within reason that is. (read: no country please.)

Funny, because I don't like either.

BTW, I'm all for variety.

Many genres, I like so much music/genres/bands that I could do with anything almost. I like both Disturbed and Jimmy Buffet.

I'm all for having all of the genres represented. Some people may not like it, but hey, just about everyone should get a good or awesome week of DLC. My broader taste in music have led me to have quite a few good weeks.
