I am hoping that with the early announcement of Maximo Park, we might see a couple of other Brit rock songs, as well. GH has announced a download pack with Kaiser Chiefs and Kasabian next week, so I'm hoping this week will be a 3-pack Brit Rock theme.

It doesn't matter. If HMX releases a Live pack or U2 packs - people will complain that it's not metal. If metal is released - people will complain that it isn't contemporary.

I'm hoping for a +Live+ song but i'll have to agree with an earlier post that we're getting a brit pack. I'll buy it.

But since we're dreaming....I'll go with a patch that allows you to upload any song you want and chart it and put it up on HMX servers for download. The fans can vote how good it is so you know if you are getting a quality download. - but I suppose there would be people to complain that they have to chart the songs themslves!

As long as they structure the packs like last week's: i.e. two completely different genres, I'll be happy. If they release Maximo Park (or whoever they are) I hope they release someone else as well. I haven't heard Maximo Park before and I might like them as well, but I would still like to have last week's DLC pattern become the norm rather than the exception.

My thoughts exactly. I love these 6 and 9 song weeks! With GH 3 announcing 5 packs this month for DLC, hope HMX keeps the pedal down with 6 track weeks (plus the Doolittle album which will be 14 new tracks presumably)

The problem with this is there isn't anything that is universally loved. Putting out something that pleases everyone is impossible. So many of the bands people bring up as "OMIGOD why don't they put up XXX?" seem to me to be really awful. Similarly, if I got my absolute copper bottomed favourite wishlist I'm sure that a lot of people on here would go "What the hell is this garbage? Who listens to this?"
