First off, kudos to HMX for the Disturbed tunes. They sound great and are hella fun.
That said, I feel fairly confident in saying that I will likely never 5-star any of those Disturbed songs on expert drums without the use of a Twin Rocker. I can barely 4-star them at this point.
I've always thought that the Twin Rocker looked like a great idea, but I'd also had concerns about there being enough songs to make it worth buying. More songs like this will put more $$ in Steradian Technologies pockets, I can promise you that.
Do any of you guys already have a Twin Rocker? How do you like it?

I have the twin rocker, and I use it with a stock pedal and a pedal that comes in the "Blockheads hit kit" it was a pretty good deal, a pedal, two composite sticks (really bouncy) and drum silencers with rim protection. all for just $20.00 at best buy

I currently use an Omega pedal (and love it). I have a stock pedal that's reinforced with a Pedal Metal billet sitting on the shelf. I think if I got a Twin Rocker, I'd first try to use that one as my second pedal.
Obviously I'd rather have a 2nd Omega pedal, but you know with the price of gas and all....

get a real pedal before getting a twin rocker, the game is designed for a single pedal and that should be all you need.

Considering that Disturbed's actual drummer is playing these very songs with two real pedals, I'm going to disagree with you.
Can I beat the song with one pedal? Yes. Would I prefer two? Yes.

However, if you listen to the double bass parts and look at the chart, they only charted the left foot. the game is designed for one pedal, and all the songs are charted for one pedal. anything with double bass has the right leg removed. the Metallica tracks or the same way.

Incorrect.

policy change was there? because it always used to be that second bass was removed... haven't seen the new tracks though and I wouldn't know the difference either way

There's a difference in the speed of the multiples between the Metallica songs and the Disturbed songs. I can hear where they dropped some bass notes from the charts in the Metallica songs, but the Disturbed double bass sequences don't come as fast as the Metallica ones do. They are DO-ABLE with one foot, but hella tough on the leg unless you are an absolute pro. Like I said above, even Disturbed's real drummer plays these songs with two pedals.

Well, technically you're both kinda right.

Depends, it some places it was, but in others it wasn't. Like the pre-chorus and guitar solo in Inside the Fire. I'm not actually sure if Disturbed's drummer plays those parts with 1 or both feet, but it's definitely playable with just 1.
Same goes for the chorus in Indestructible.

Honestly, it's not that much faster than the kick in Maps. I do stuff like that in my own songs all the time with just 1 kick, reserving the 2nd for when I want to throw in a triplet or 32nd note.

Well i was incorrect in that i swapped the feet the are included and dropped.
However, i am nothing close to a pro, and i can play them with one foot no problem. i do need to "play" an imaginary second pedal with my left foot, so i simulate the double bass and am able to keep the rhythm of the song fairly easily.
Yes, Mike Wengren (the drummer from Disturbed) uses a double bass, but the bass hits are twice as fast as the chart in the song, hence the hits for the pedal-less foot have been dropped from the chart. look up drum tab for the songs. the bass is twice as fast as the chart on those parts.

Um, no they're not. Are you playing on Expert? The kick drum hits on the chart on Expert are the same as they are in the song. Listen to it. :p

I'm going to respectfully disagree with you on this point, Oh Mighty Legged One.
Aren't the bass notes in Maps 8th notes, whereas the long strings in Disturbed's songs are 16th notes?
I don't know what the tempo is between those songs, so they might not be twice as fast, but I do know this: I can keep up with the bass in Maps no sweat, but I can't keep a multiplier going in those Disturbed tunes. They are just coming too fast.

 I've already watched two people gold star the disturbed packs wiht a stock pedel thats why I have no need to buy an omega. Or Double in that matter.

Yes its faster but maybe by a tempo of 20 or 30 not to much faster. its not like your doubling the speed or anything. just a little faster.

It's definitely poissible with one REAL pedal, but, in my case, my one real pedal is acting up as it is and playing it that fast just makes it even more twitchy. That, and my leg isn't accustomed to playing double bass beats on its own.
That said, only the long stretch in Indestructible still kills me. I've played them all so much that I can 5-star all but Indestructible now. xD Dunno why I can't do that one, since they're all just about the same speed. My pedal just doesn't like that song.

Yes I'm playing on expert. I've listened to the song a ton since the CD came out and they are. There are tom hits that go over the charted bass notes, that's why they are louder. You can hear the naked kick drum in between the tom hits, the ones that aren't charted.
whatever. i have no problem playing it with a stock pedal. it's quite easy. if you can't, oh well. there no point in discussing further, you believe what you want, and i will believe what i want.
P.S. have you tried listening to the song with out the charts? like not in rock band?
