if the rock band bundle only comes with one guitar and they aren't releasing any seperate guitars to 2008, how are we supposed to play four player with a bass in 2007?

Firstly, the components in the bundle are not cheap and thus creating a bundle and three other separate packages (guitar, drums and vocals) would increase costs which could lead to less bundles available at ship. Lastly, although retail partners are confident the title will be successful they are appreciative of the fact that they won’t have to display four reasonably-sized packages in each of their stores. When is Harmonix looking to ship the separate components? Early 2008 is the general goal, so EB/GameStop’s leak was correct.

As for playing with four players, I guess you will just have to have a Guitar Hero guitar for now.

erm... this blows ass. I don't have a 360 guitar, I've not bought GH2 for the 360 cause I was just going to buy RB and maybe GH3 later. Well... Then I hope that my bro in law and I both get a bundle on release day. :/

I don't really see what the big deal is. It's just a month and a week until 2008 after the game is released - only 21 days until 2008 for the PS2 version. It's not as big a deal as people make it out to be. Patience is a virtue. So is eBay.

And a good portion of people will have a guitar hero controller to use with the game already. As I understand it, the bass instrument in the game really doesn't make use of the solo buttons or effects switch, so a GH controller is a perfect substitute. I've heard nothing but great things about the Les Paul, so it would be really great if it does end up being compatible like most people are assuming and hoping for. One might almost think HMX planned out the whole thing based on GHIII and people buying a controller with that game. They could still bank on many people ending up with four instruments while they only need to sell three in the bundle, reducing the price by quite a bit.

GH2 X-Plorer guitar is the only thing confirmed to work at this point. The GH3 Les Paul should work, assuming it will follow the same open controller standards as everyone else.

I've already heard of multiple people who are buying a bundle and ebaying components that they don't want/need. So keep your eye out on that front.

Also a lot of people dumping their extra Xplorers so there are good deals to be had.
