So, all over Xbox news sites today, Perfect Dark 2 is in the rumor mill and is looking like its going to be confirmed soon.
Personally I love this idea. Perfect Dark Zero kept me busy for the longest time. Yeah, it did have some flaws, but I thought it was a great title nonetheless. I used the slow gameplay to my advantage online, and mastered a move that took a long time to do, though I am probably very rusty now since I retired from it. Perfect Dark 2 can only bring better things.
There are some peopel who will strongly disagree with me, but what do you all think?

Loved the first Perfect Dark, I think I spent more time playing that than I did any other game on multiplayer.
Perfect Dark Zero was eh, the multiplayer and single player were no where near as good as they were in the N64 counterpart.
But yeah, Perfect Dark 2 would be awesome.

Yea, never could get into Zero...but I played the hell out of PD64, infact I still play it every now and again with a few friends...the way multiplayer is laid out in the original is just amazing.
I mean, the challenges were actually challenging (towards the end), and it tracked your stats...that was one hell of a N64 game...

Perfect Dark on the N64 was awesome. Infact, most FPS on any console can make a man spring a big rubbery one. And this has nothing to do with Joanna Dark. After all, it's a damn First Person Shooter.
Guns rule.

Yeah I'm going to have to agree with the above people. The first Perfect Dark was amazing, especially the multiplayer. I remember taking someone on my color team and sticking a proximity mine to them and sending them into a room with other colored people in it and hilarity ensued.

Oh, i totally forgot about that brilliant tactic...nothing like a little self-sacrifice to gain an edge...what sucked is when you pissed off the person sitting next to you and they just blew you up for no reason...Kinda miss playing console LAN games...doesn't happen to often anymore...

Haha! Classic. I usually do stuff like that all the time. Especially on Crackdown. I empty the highway, attatch detonatible mines to my car, then air off a ramp that I placed there and detonate it with my teammate standing on top. Of course he has infinite health (Keys To The City, folks), so that way, he could go flying.
Anyone up for a game of Crackdown? Seriously, though. Typing this made me want to play it again.

I used to do that with one of my friends (met on XBL). We would clear the entire street, make a roadblock at the opposite end, and lay down those charges that you can detonate whenever you want. Then we would come from the opposite end of the street and detonate them whenever the car got close and it would go flying (before Keys to the City came out, you don't go anywhere if you are invincible). Anyway, shortly after Keys to the City came out, he started playing some other game and then he quit XBL :(

Perfect Dark 2 FTW!
I'd prefer it outsourced to a better dev but I'll take any real sequel I can get at this point.

Perfect Dark for N64 was amazing, I played that forever with my friends, such a sweet multiplayer. As for the 360 version, PD 0 was not that good, I didn't like it very much, especially the art style, but also most of the multiplayer just wasn't enjoyable for me, it strayed to far from the original in my opinion. I hope PD 2 is better, I welcome a true sequel to PD 64.

I have a sudden thirst for a room packed with dudes, lots of screaming and cursing, and lots of guns.
Don't know about you guys but I still LAN all the time. In fact WAY more than online.

The biggest problem with PDZ is that it tried to be Halo and not Perfect Dark. Take out the vehicles, make the multiplayer maps smaller and more confined make the players run slower and not have shields. Then and only then will the game do justice to the original PD.

LAN > Online
As true as that is the majority of the people i used to play games with all left for college and moved like 3 hours away...so I'm stuck with online or solo...

Multiplayer on PDZ showed that not all Xbox Live FPS games had to be Halo 2, or fail miserably at attempting to. Sorry to those who are trying to see similiarities but the maps were much much much more open and tactical than Halo 3 with bigger teams. It was by no means revolutionary, but it was very fun, and for a launch game was incredible (look around at other launches, the best we've had would be playing Project Gotham and Halo on Xbox launch day.
Happy to see it again? Yes. Halo 3's out tho, and its one helluva benchmark to go up against.

I bought PD0 for the option that I believe all games should have, regardless of the story or game itself.
Multiplayer co-op over Live.
That is single-handedly the greatest option in all of gaming. Let me let my friends play through the story with me, because that's what I want to do.
You know what was a badass game? Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain. Fully customizable characters, weapons and items. Bring that all into an online atmosphere and that's EXACTLY what I want to play. Now if we could just get that kind of game on Live. That's why I liked GRAW so much, but it didn't let you play through the story mode co-op. Halo 3 does this too, and that's really what I enjoy.
I'd love to see the next TES game come out with Live multiplayer.
