Idea for a new contest...

In light of the recent pack of mtv2 contest winners, why doesn't HMX create a contest sponsored by {fill in corporation here ie monster energy, taco bell, fender, whatever} and have unsigned (or lower indie) bands compete to be DLC, but upload youtube clips for people to vote on at rockband.com?

maybe people would be even more interested if they had a say on which new bands made it as DLC?

my thought is it doesn't matter the second you would start something like that, you would start the threads of "WTF HMX all dis muzic sux know 1 shood win"

your screwed either way. also how would voting work? in the current system just as when people get banned they make a new account... meaning limitless votes for their band of choice. not only that but it would create a cut throat divided forum than we already have....

true, but at least the only people to blame would be people actually on the website, and at least [I]some[I]people would be happy
