No matter how diverse ones musical taste might be, it is likely that at least once there has been a week where the reaction is not so enthusiastic. Basically, I'm just asking you to think back to one of those weeks, that is at least a month old (no MTV pack just yet), and state your current opinion, and whether or not it is changed. Of course, this will not apply if you decided to pass on the DLC... just if you bought it on a whim, or bought it later, etc.
I have had a few.
David Bowie pack- Ended up loving Moonage Daydream. I could never get into Queen ***** or Heroes, probably due to the covers.
Roam- I've never been a fan of the song... not really changed. It's kinda fun to play, though.
Grateful Dead- I love these songs. Especially on guitar. The drums are the only weak spot.
Paramore, Tankian, Black Tide- I had a bittersweet reaction to Serj. I like SOAD, but had never heard Serj's solo album. I ended up liking it, and convinced me to buy the album. I had never heard of Black Tide, and found the song fun. I might check out the rest of the album. Paramore was a big meh for me, though it was a bit fun on drums.
Thrash- I was actually excited for this one, I am only listing this one as it's obvious. They were all fun on vocals, and just insane on drums, even if I can't beat Blinded by Fear. The guitar is very fun, especially Thrasher... I can only three star it. Not my favorite type of music, but the more diversity, the better.
Still Alive- While I love Portal and the Half-life series, I was a bit disappointed... I've only played this song a couple of times. I guess it was free, though.
Harmonix- I liked the Bang Camaro song, and Freezepop was fun, even if I'm not a fan. I didn't like Shake at all.
"Mother-Hips week"- These songs get a bad rap. I loved Zero, obviously. The mother hips songs, while simple, were very fun on drums, and really not that bad in my opinion.
Scene pack- I can barely play Date with the Night. However, I thought the Angels and Airwaves song was decent on drums. Fallout Boy's main draw was vocals, and that was crippled by the censorship.
Clash, Blondie, Sonic Youth- I loved Train in Vain (was excited for that one), the Blondie song was an unexpected surprise... Kool Thing was the weak one for me, although I think it is very fun on the drums.
Euro- Again, I rejoiced at this week, I'm just addressing the obvious. Muse and Oasis were great, and some of the foreign songs were fun, such as Hier Kommt Alex (spelling?), Pleymo, etc. Great week for me... especially because of Muse.
So... those are all of the weeks (and some that I was not personally dissatisfied with, but I knew others were), and my reactions. And no, that was not from memory... I was using wikipedia to help me remember. Obviously, you don't have to do ALL of the weeks you remember, just some ones that stick out (I'm sure many will say the Thrash pack). Oh, and if you haven't played the songs, then you obviously won't have any reaction to it.

There's been no week where I've thought "Man that sucks!" There's usually one song a week that I consider downloading. The only reason I haven't is lack of funds and HDD space.

Oh yeah, and just to clarify... this isn't a "worst DLC" thread. Just how you like DLC now that you didn't like a while ago.

Alright, I'll take you up on this. And ones that I passed on buying do apply to me, because I still get the chance to play them at my friend's houses (Our differences can be vast sometimes).
"Juke Box Hero" - I was uber excited to get this one and pelt out the lyrics, but I've never really gotten ahold of them yet, and the song isn't very entertaining on any other end of the song.
Bowie Pack - I didn't grab them because I never heard of the songs. My friend bought them and regretted them immediately. He only has fun with one of them (I think Moonage Daydream because it's so messed up)
Black Sabbath - I don't care about the other two songs, I only want War Pigs. This is probably the only one I might go back and get sometime. (maybe this week)
"Buddy Holly" - I love the song, but I never really played it that much. Since they added "El Scorcho", though, the Weezer setlist has become a favorite.
"Hard to Handle" - I actually keep liking this song more. I only bought it for vocals, and the guitar parts are fun.
Oasis Pack - Like "Don't Look Back in Anger", love "Live Forever", HATE "Wonderwall". I wish I didn't buy the pack, but I'd still get the other two if I did it again.
"Ten Speed (Of God's Blood)" - Bought the song because "Welcome Home" was so fun. It's steadily moved itself up the playlist as time goes on. Surpassing "Welcome Home" even.
"We Care A Lot" & "Calling Dr. Love" - I bought them both because they sounded fun. Not a massive KISS fan, but still sounded fun. Both songs faded in the playlist, though "We Care A Lot" still holds weight the deeper I play.
STP/Weezer/Garbage - All three still hold weight. "Why Do You Love Me" quickly became one of my favorite songs to play, and still is.
The Grateful Dead - My friend bought the pack, and I played them at his house. The only one worth looking at in my book is "Casey Jones", but I didn't like it enough to spend the cash on.
Paramore/Black Tide - "Shockwave" has fallen on my setlist really far. Probably because its ridiculous second solo. Paramore still holds weight, but the vocals make it hard to sing frequently. It's more commonly used in parties to punish the singer for acting out.
Boston Pack - I downloaded it with high hopes, and they didn't live up to it. "More Than a Feeling" still gets play when we feel nostalgic for Guitar Hero though. (Still wish we could get some Donnas)
"Still Alive"/HMX Pack - I personally love all 4 of these songs, but my friends soured on them quickly. I will admit that after all these years, "Super Sprode" was more fun in Amplitude. I'm beginning to sour on Freezepop as a band as well.
(PS, wouldn't more songs from Amplitude be cooler in Rock Band?
Judas Priest CD - .... Refund please? I downloaded it out of sheer excitement for a CD, gave it all a listen before I bought it ... but, just no.
Scene Pack - I got Fall Out Boy and love it. Did "Date With A Night" on a friend's recommendation, and I kinda want to ask for 2 bucks from him because of it.
I should probably stop there, but I just want to point out how much fun "Countdown to Insanity" is. I thought Muse would be good, but the H-Blockx took the Euro cake.

Oh yeah... another thing I forgot to mention. You don't have to have bad expectations and then have them turn good... it can be the opposite. God, I'm bad at leaving out details.

Well, to start... I didn't buy the game the day/week it was released. I didn't get it until mid-December. Prior to that, I did play it a few times at a friend's place (he did buy it on release). I didn't buy any DLC until early January, as I wasn't sure if I was going to at all. I was really only playing on my own at home; the RB parties were at my buddies house (more centrally located for our group of friends). I wasn't sure it was really worth pouring more money into it; I had already waffled about buying the bundle rather than just the disc and using my Les Paul. But, ultimately it made sense for me to practice for the parties. I'm the best guitarist in the group and I've been working my way up on drums. My wife has been singing on Expert, so the mic is coming in handy after all...
November
Yes - CCR, Foreigner, Bang a Gong, My Sharona, Joker & the Thief, Metallica, The Police, David Bowie
No - Cherry Bomb, Queens of the Stone Age
You can tell from just this first month that I'm looking for mainstream-type music. I had already decided from the on-disc set-lists that I wasn't looking to RB to educate me in unknown music. I want the popular stuff that my family & friends are going to recognize.
December
Yes - Black Sabbath, The Clash, Ramones, The Pretenders, Weezer, 30 Seconds to Mars, All-American Rejects
No - Buzzcocks, My Iron Lung, Song with a Mission
Same as before; looking for recognizable music.
January
Yes - Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Crowes, Stone Temple Pilots, Iron Maiden, The Monkees, Blink-182, Oasis, Coheed & Cambria
No - Rush, The Hives, Smashing Pumpkins
This was merely a case of "songs we know or don't know". There's certainly stuff out there by Rush, the Hives, and the Pumpkins that I like... just not these selections.
February
Yes - B-52's, Faith No More, The Police, STP, Weezer, Garbage
No - The Clash, Ramones, Nine Inch Nails
Again... only skipped the stuff that was unfamiliar. No issues with these bands; just not songs I want.
March
Yes - The Grateful Dead, Boston
No - Paramore, Serj Tankian, Black Tide, At the Gates, The Haunted, Evile
Remember what I was saying about RB educating me? Yeah, March is a perfect example of "popular vs. relatively unknown". I knew who Serj was, but I'd prefer some SOAD to his solo stuff. And any value in the rest was lost on my group of friends. The Dead & Boston, though, are automatics...
April
Yes - Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blondie, The Police, Bang Camaro
No - GLaDOS, Count Zero, Freezepop, Motley Crue, Judas Priest, The Mother Hips, Smashing Pumpkins
Was never really into Crue or Priest. I would have picked something different from the Pumpkins. And, yeah, a rare "unknown" that made it into my list; Camaro is actually not too bad. The lyrics suck, but the music is definitely fun to play. The rest, well, not to be too blunt, but it can rot in the "For Sale" section for the rest of the game's life...
May
Yes - Blondie, The Clash, Blur, Die Toten Hosen, Muse, Oasis, The Cars
No - Fall Out Boy, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Angels & Airwaves, Sonic Youth, H-Blockx, Les Wampas, Tokio Hotel, Pleymo, Juli
Seeing a pattern? Again, I want stuff that not only I recognize, but that any random person that happens to want to play RB will say "Hey! I love that song!" And honestly, I just don't know many people into the indie or Euro music scene.
June
Yes - Jimmy Buffett
No - Disturbed, The Material, The Myriad, Them Terribles, Maximo Park
And at this point, I'm not sure there's much at all on Doolittle that I'd want to get. I know a couple people that like the Pixies, but there's other stuff of theirs on other albums I'd want first.
So, overall... the DLC that has made it in over here is stuff that is relatively well known. Bang Camaro got lucky in that they sound like an 80s band and there's not much from 80s bands in the game...
We'll see what happens from here on out...

The biggest change in opinion I have had is on the Metallica pack. This got zero play in the begining now I can't get enough of it. Also Song on Mission got heavy play at the start and now I can't stand it.

At first I thought I was gonna hate CrushCrushCrush and Beethoven's C', the former because of forum reactions of "Paramore is mainstream crap" and my previous experience with SoaD, but I ended up liking both of them a lot.
On the opposite note, I'm now dissatisfied with Thrasher and Joker and the Thief on guitar because they hurt to play.

Someone else has brought this point up before,so i took a listen to them and your right,i think if RB had more 80's bands,Bang Camaro wouldnt sell as well.

I hate Bang Camaro (gasp, I know)
Shake and Sprode are awesome though.

Most dissapointing week for me was the NIN pack. I love NIN (one of my all time favorite bands), but they picked one of their worst songs (Perfect Drug) overcharted March of the Pigs to death (it's still fun to sing though), and the Collector is kinda ehh

Don't have much time to post, but I'd like to point out I thought the Thrash pack was junk at first but I've grown rather fond of it. I'm still not sure about the Buffet pack.

to me our only bad week was the scene pack and the Thrash pack.
of course, someone else liked it, so i guess it wasn't.
i will be passing this week only because the songs aren't the best, and because i'm saving for the cars and doolittle.

Let me just say I have a wide ranging taste in music and so there has yet ot be a song released I was not previously familiar with (until the MTV pack this week). That being said there have been very few surprises for me and my opinions have change very little from what I thought they would be. But here are the few changes that did take place after I purchased DLC.
Bang a Gong - Great classic song, but playing it on guitar just doesn't feel at all right to me, I skip this song when ever possible even though I was originally looking forward to it.
My Sharona - Had to get it because it's from an era I grew up in and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise as the song is very fun to play.
Bowie Pack - Here is a pack I thought would be great. Bowie is a great musician, and has always had fairly talented bandmates, so I was sure this was going to be good. Wow was I disappointed. It's such a disappointment that Hero's feels like a chore anytime it comes up in a set list. Hand they included some better tracks, like Fame, or Ziggy Stardust, it would have been a different story I guess.
All American Rejects Songs - I bought these because they were 99 cents and I wanted more songs. I am very glad I did. I don't really like Dirty little Secret but Move Along is poppy but damn fun and enjoyable.
Last train to Clarksville - I didn't pick this song up until a while after it's release, but when I did I was pretty happy about it and couldn't figure out why I didn't pick it up earlier.
Judas Priest Album - I like it but not as much as I had expected I would. I think I would have been happier with a JP best of pack rather than Screaming for Vengeance Album
