Buddy Rich is better than every drummer you listed
And Dave Lombardo should be in there, around 10-15

Keith Moon is too high.

Got to agree, Buddy Rich, just unbelievable. I personally love Todd Trainer from Shellac, incredible drummer, can't think of any other band where the drummer is front and centre on stage, but thats where Todd sets up.
Search on youtube for some displays of genius including this one....

The lack of Buddy Rich kills the list, but other than that, its good.

NO Dave Lombardo?!
Bonham should be 1#, Buddy Rich should be at least in the top 20, nor the top 10.
Starkey should be on the list, even if hes at the very bottom.

If this is for your top 20 Rock/sub-genres of rock then it's one of the best I have seen. I like pretty much every drummer on your list even if I wouldn't put them in the position you did.

well i can only name 10 drummers off the top of my head, so i was looking at someone else's list to get more tht i cudnt think of and Buddy Rich wasnt on there.
and i will admit Dave Lombardo is good, but my pure hatred for Slayer makes this list biased so hes not on it.

yes it is rock/sub genres,
and m00p as much as i love Ringo.
he wasnt tht great of a drummer.
for example in The Medley on Abbey Road, Paul had to do some of the drum parts cuz Ringo cudnt get it right

Well I wouldn't include Buddy Rich for rock/rock sub genres because he was a great drummer (probably the best) but mainly a jazz drummer.

Well, as argued many many times before, he was influential. He gave the band a beat. I like the song "Rain" and "Something" best. He shows his true capability in those songs.

Not bad -- definitely shows you've paid attention to some of the other threads. But Buddy Miles really wasn't much of a drummer.
Outside of the metal guys I don't really know, the main miss is some of the all time great jazz drummers who have played in rock bands -- Steve Gadd, Vinnie Colaiuta, Omar Hakim, Don Alias, but a lot of that was session work, for example with Steely Dan. Can't fault you for not putting them on here. Although Vinnie played a lot with Zappa, so I would definitely put him on. And he would be my #1 on this list. Omar is the best I've ever seen play in a "rock" band.
Bernard Purdie probably belongs right alongside Benny Benjamin.

yeah im not big into Zappa so i only knew that drummer i saw Vinnie's name but i just picked one of them. and i recognized Bozzio's name more.
and this is only rock/ sub genre not Jazz i wudda had to make it bigger.
and i know Miles' isnt tht good but i love his work with Jimi Hendrix so i just threw him on there
