I finally put aside the time to attempt and complete the endless setlist today.
I went it alone performing both Vocals and Guitar on Hard.
twice I failed
Once I took a break
My throat is sore, my fingers numb, but damn I feel accomplished.
I'm a sad sad man.
That is all.

I've done every song on Vocals Expert but there's still one song on the disc I cant finish with guitar (Damn you green grass and High Tides!!!)
Not to mention the fact that Suffragette City manages to almost melt my face when I do both Guitar and Vocals at the same time on Hard.
I'd love to earn that Platinum Achievement but alas no one I know is skilled or psycho enough to do the setlist with me on Expert.

Awesome, man.
I've tried many many times to solo through that thing and give up about 48 songs into it. I can't do both instruments on all the songs...... And the only other expert player that comes over alot, really really doesn't have the patience or time to go through it with me again. The last time.... we got all the way to GG&HT and lost enough fans to make it impossible for me to get the 1,000,000 achievement. :( besides... that was like 6+ hours of gameplay.......... ugh..

yeah green grass and high tides i don't know (nor honestly care) if i've ever completely beaten it on guitar by myself. i don't even think its really THAT hard, i just don't have the patience for it. that song drags on for like 20 minutes it feels to me.
its right around 9:30 or 10 min long....

Grats on the accomplishment! I just came here to post the same thing and saw your thread. :)

The only kind of brag posts that I can tolerate are one for people who just finished endless setlists. And solo no less. Nice work. I can only beat all of the songs on the setlist on medium when I use the drums and mic together. I can't seem to beat Run to the Hills on hard with the drums, and I'm stuck at about 1/2 of the way through hard on vocals. I'm blaming the PS3 mic. That's got to be the problem. I can't be my skill, which is clearly unquestionable. Anyways, kudos on the achievement.

congrats dude i finally beat it yesterday too by myself. same as you guitar and vocals on hard.
i can easily play expert guitar but none of my other friends can play expert with me. i went from failing in bloom on medium (vocals) to beating the whole hard solo tour and eventually singing and guitaring my way through the BWT to beat the endless setlist.
so now we are GOLD together!!! lol.
p.s. i love going online now and ppl are like "whoa why is his guitar/mic symbol gold?" lol. i will get platinum someday!:D

I think I might try this with easy vox and expert drums sometime.
EDIT: If I do this, will my drum icon be the platinum one, or do I get an easy level reward or something?

well you cant do the endless setlist on easy. just med, hard, or expert. also you get the lowest difficulty. which is why i only did hard guitar cuz i can only sing on hard. it woulda been pointless for me to play expert guitar cuz either way i would only get gold.
medium=vinyl
hard=gold
expert=platinum

Thanks everyone for the props! Good to know i'm not the only one struggling to find a friend crazy enough to do Expert Endless with me.
Perhaps someday we'll get an Online BWT Patch or an RB 2 which will let us hook up and I'll gladly sing through anything anybody wants to toss at me on Expert for ya's :)

Impressive. I'm fairly certain completing the endless setlist while playing guitar and singing, on hard difficulty, puts you in a pretty select group of individuals. My voice is usually blown after a couple hours of singing. Plus, I can only sing and play guitar, on hard difficulty, on the songs I know very well. Kudos.

Congrats, dude. I've scheduled myself to do the same in 3 weeks! hah, kinda pitiful that I'm actually scheduling my weekends for this game. Did you get a buttload of fans and $$$?

Sadly no, my 2 failures cost me 15,000 fans each, and at the end of it all I was surprized to see I only got 30,000 fans..... I broke even!

Hehe, on my failures (on Expert) I lost 380,000+ fans each time. :) Completing it only gave me like 750,000 fans (give or take). Still, don't feel bad about losing fans, you can always get them back and more later.

Well since this is apparently a place to brag.....LMAO, other people did it here too....I did beat Green Grass And High Tides on Expert Guitar....other people I know have beaten me to it, but for someone who's not the best at Guitar, but can handle most of the songs, that's an accomplishment for me. :-P

How Long is the Endless Setlist Anyways???
Endless Setlist is all 58 on-disc songs, in alphabetical order by [I believe] band name, becuz if I'm not mistaken, I saw a list in the ?? December ?? 2007 issue of OXM that listed it and I think I recall seeing The Acro-brats starting the list and it ended off with Timmy And The Lords Of The Underworld.

While we're bragging :)
I completed the setlist on drums to get platinum a few weeks ago :)
Also - I GS Foreplay/Long Time, GG&HT, and about 15 DLC songs yesterday!
Now have 9.59M points top 150 on the PS3 and have 33/58 on disc songs now GS :)
Now, if I could only squeeze another 40K points to hit the 10 mil mark :)

Nope - it's sorted by 'band difficulty' rating.

Congrats on Endless Setlist. I did it on hard a while back too but I did 40 songs on a Friday night and finished the other 18 on Saturday morning. My throat was banging then too.
I've been thinking about doing on Expert playing bass. I play alot of bass online and even though I have passed GGHT on expert guitar, I think I might fail some of the other songs singing.

I wish I could do this but I sux big time on singing, and my GF would never have the patience to play RB for that long (I can only usually get a song or 2 out of her)
Someone figure out a way I can play drums and guitar at the same time...

i'm about to hit up the endless setlist this weekend i think on hard by myself, it should be extremely fun. looking forward to it. hah / This will now be the 2nd time i'd have done the ESL. First time i completed it was with a buddy of mine. 6 hours, about half a keg of beer, 1 taco bell break and just tons of fun
congrats to the OP for beating it! cheers

wow. And Doing it on Hard would get Soo tiring...

I've done it thrice with guitar/vocals. Once on medium before I knew how half the songs went on vocals - then once on Hard and once on Expert. I was going to do a drums/vocals run... until my good-for-nothing friend broke my boom mic by hanging on it when singing. He's from the same group of good-for-nothing friends who can't play on a difficulty greater than medium, thus necessitating the mic stand in the first place.
In summary, grr.

hey whats up all
i didnt read through the entire thread, but i have to say the endless setlist on expert is quite doable. i did the whole thing by myself (guitar and vocals) and while i failed about 4 or 5 songs in the end i prevailed. also im wondering if anyone is quite as psycho as i am...i finished the entire world tour on my own on expert...check out my band im the only member i think im ranked only1200 or so the band name is rakis. 50 millions fans...it took so f'in long lol.
anyways, good luck and all i can say is listen to the music on your own time, once you know the songs its really not that hard.
