How do you rest the drum sticks on the drum kit, like it shows in the drum kit setup diagram page?

What are those 2 small groove/slits for, on the back of the blue and yellow pads?

The two things one on the yellow pad, and the one on the blue slide out.

nah, much better is to rest them pointing into the gap between the red and blue pad and the controller so they create a V shape. then you can freak people out by resting your eyes on them.

Also fun is the old standby of just criss-crossing them in your shirt behind your back, samurai style
