If the guitar is wireless (PS3) it uses 3 batteries. If the guitar plugs in (360), no batteries (I believe). The drums plug in, and therefore require no batteries. Same for the mic.

Plug the drums into the system. Plug the guitar into you system. If you have a PS3, put batteries into the guitar and plug the adapter into the system. Plug the mic into the system. :)

Did you read the instructions that came with them or were you too excited?

The drums are powered by the foot pedal. Similar to how the Flintstones power their cars.

On some songs, like Disturbed, my drums run hot.

I'm lazy. I use hamsters. None of this self powered Flintstones crap. That's way to much work. I connect my instruments directly to the hamster wheel and make those little bastards run like hell.

they're all powered via microwaves coming from your PC.

Open up your PC's dos window and type in " format c: " to get em started.

maybe it's me, but I figure that if they don't know what the second half of those instructions do, then they probably don't know how to open up the DOS window.

1) Click start
2) Go to "Run..."
3) type "cmd" (without quotes) and hit enter.

Congratulations, you have a DOS window :) (Technically a command prompt)

Edit: This user does not approve of this method of powering your guitar and drums. use at own risk.

You must harness the power of Satan, and summon a demon. Now, put its soul in the instruments and it will work.

I can't seem to find anything that says Start.
When I've logged in, I can see a menu in this order:

Searching for Start in Spotlight, I only get Java Web Start.
Please advise ;)

Ok here's what you do:

1. Pick up your Mac rip it out of the wall (if it is a mac book make sure you take the docking station with you if you have one)
2. Run to the nearest public trash can or dumpster (running is necessary)
3. Scream at the top of your lungs, "Die! Filthy Hell spawn!"
4. Throw you mac as hard as you can into the trash and make sure parts break off
5. Sprinkle with holy water and wait for the flaims to burst.

The rockband instruments should power right up
