The loading screen blurbs seem to all be general band stuff, like in GHII - "underage girls are referred to by band members as 'jailbait'" etc - or are about the artists featured in the game - "Davey Jones changed his name to David Bowie so he wouldn't be confused with the guy from the Monkees" etc.

I saw in this photo:

that the blurb is about the Joan Jett/Lita Ford all-girl rock band The Runaways, who rule, and perhaps this is an indicator that they have a song in the game? Cherry Bomb and Bad Reputation would both be awesome additions, and they are clearly looking to include more female artists in the game. Obviously just speculation, but I can imagine a situation where they put in all the finished loading screen text and just didn't want to reveal the song yet. Although, perhaps it was being considered and didn't make it in. Either way - neat.

Here's the individual difficulty selection screen for 4 players, i hadn't seen that yet:

Here's the menu sorting the tracks by genre - this is going to be awesome once there's some DLC to flesh out the categories:

i don't think I'd agree that Queens of the Stone Age and The Foo Fighters are 'classic' rock, but whatever...

Nor is Faith No More 'Classic' Rock. Hopefully this is due to a small song selection and they just wanted to demo the functionality.

Thats pretty cool, I figured it would only sort by decade and difficulty, genre of songs is pretty cool too, I would agree though, Foo Fighters are not classic rock. I'll be interested to see what other ways songs can be sorted and what other genres there will be besides glam and classic rock.

Wasn't there another case like this a few weeks/months ago? I vaguely remember something about a band playing at a nude colony or something.

On a side note, I think it was in Wired that I read that Helen McWilliams (the female singer from the Welcome To The Jungle video, and a bunch of others) is the lead writer for the game, which includes doing the loading screens. It was news to me, and its kind of weird to put a face behind the person who comes up with all of those [sometimes] amusing lines.

Edit: The loading screen was about Quiet Riot playing at a nudist colony.

Oh, I don't know - I missed it if there was. Anyone know?
Edit - ah! - sweet - I was just about to put that Slade album down there - how serendipitous! I wouldn't be even remotely surprised to see one of Quiet Riot's Slade covers show up - Come on Feel the Noize, probably. (stupid 4 image limit!)

I'm optimistic that even HAVING a glam rock category means there's some great classic glam records in the future:

Yes, nice detective work indeed. It's great when people share insight that they have collected. The genre split is great news.

Thanks!
