My bass pedal for my drum kit broke clean in half over a month ago. I called EA tech support and had them send me a new one. Since I didn't want to wait, I opted to have them hold the $125 to ensure that I would return it. That was on May 12th. They didn't ask for a receipt, nor did they ask what was wrong or how it was broken. They simply gave me the options for replacement. I thought that was pretty cool of them. I even received the pedal fairly quickly. It took me a week or so to send it back due to a busy schedule, but I sent it out on May 27th, coincidently the same day that they sent me a reminder e-mail to return it. I went to UPS, and they told me EA paid for the return shipping. I thought that was really awesome of them, too. I left and, thinking the problem was resolved, completely forgot about it until today. I just checked my bank statement, and found that they just charged me for the $125 for the pedal I returned 15 days ago. I know they didn't next day the shipment, but I don't think it took over two weeks to get the part back to them. So, I have a few questions:

1) Is this a unique problem, or are a number of people having the same issues?

2) Is there anything I should know about when talking with EA? Will they work hard to resolve this problem like the last, or will I get jerked around?

3) If this is a case of them seeing the product and feeling that it is not covered under warranty and then deciding to charge me anyway, or is it possibly me getting screwed due to a clerical error?

I would appreciate any inputs. I intend on contacting EA tomorrow, and I just wanted to make sure that I won't have to bite the bullet on this one anyway before I waste any potential MGS4 play time.

I'm sure if you call them up they can see that you returned the pedal within the time frame and you should be refunded. When I returned a guitar, I also used the express method, and I waited and waited for my rma status to show as 'completed' on the support website, but it never did. I was afraid that they would charge me, I called them up the next day and they told me they had received the guitar the week prior and after the call my status changed to 'completed' the next day. So definitely give them a call.

Oh, do you happen to know the tracking number for the pedal you returned? You can check it and at least that way you'll know exactly when they received it.
