It looks like no one has posted this so here. Another band for Rock Band 2.

Quote:
The rumors regarding Rock Band 2 are definately starting to flare up, and the latest comes from an unlikely source. The game maker Funcom might have accidentally let it slip that the Norwegian band Turbonegro will have a song in Rock Band 2.

Funcom, who made the game ‘Age of Conan’ has just announced the soundtrack for the game, and one of the artists is the band Turbonegro. The press release for the soundtrack mentioned that “During the last few years, Turbonegro has significantly increased their public appeal, and their fan-club now boasts more than 2600 world-wide chapters! The band has been featured in numerous feature films and TV-series, most notably CSI, Jackass (MTV-series + both feature movies), Wildboyz (title song), Viva La Bam and Dirty Sanchez, as well as the game Rock Band II.”

Just for reference; Jackass, Viva La Bam, and Dirty Sanchez are all MTV productions, so MTV obviously would be more than happy to include Turbonegro in Rock Band 2.

Not bad sounding at all.

British grunge/pop metal = win. That's a really weird combination of sounds that they have. Like Nirvana meets Van Halen (minus all of Eddie's solos).

Just fantastic, fantastic news - Turbonegro were my number one request -- Apocalypse Dudes album pack? - (even made Euroboy and Hank for Rock Band). Now all they have to do is get me the Rock n Roll Circus version of "A Quick One (While He's Away)" and this game will be perfect.

Assuming that DLC carries on from RB to RB2, does that mean that the complaining will carry over as well? :p

Um. your signature is just a rip off of what is actually from Paradise Lost (the epic poem/book) it's not "annoymous"

lame

Yeah, that's like the story of the guy who singlehandedly built a rocketship and flew to the moon. What was his name? Apollo Creed?

Pardon me, but anonymous just sounds cooler than Apollo Creed (especially considering only five people in the world know who that is).

turbonegro..never heard of em til now.. Would be good DLC.

Sigs..well, it would be much "COOLER" having the quote reference the source as everything should. Plus you'd look more intelligent mentioning Baudelaire.

That's quite ironic, especially since part of the message of the band is anti-racism, which is part of the reason why they took the name of Turbonegro.

Never heard of them either, but I am glad to hear more confirmations of a Rock Band 2 being imminent. heh

Serious? Hmm, I thought more than 5 people have seen Rocky...

or the Simpsons, for that matter

The band is Norwegian, and the "real" name is "TURBONEGER".

I was only introduced to this band about 2 years ago... but they have some really kickass songs, and Euroboy (Their lead guitarist) can compete with the best of them. Songs to check out:

All My Friends are Dead
Sell Your Body
If You See Kaye
Selfdestructo Bust
City of Satan
High On The Crime

I would have suggested that one, but the lyrical content is not suitable for children. Now that it's out there.... good tune!

Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion posted on his twitter the following:

Seven meetings and four executive decisions later, back at Sound City putting the finishing touches on "Sorrow" for Rock Band 2

That is so awesome. I wonder when they will officially announce RB2...since it's been unofficially announced like 10+ times already. E3 perhaps?

When it happens I hope Bono stands next to Alex when he announces..
