In the shower, I came up with the perfect DLC for 6/17 (since it's not Doolittle as confirmed by hmxsean):

Aerosmith: The complete works (masters) (~170 songs)
Price: $62.50 USD (5000 MSP)

Anyone up for this? :)

Will never happen since Activision has a contract with Aerosmith, and will probably only come for Guitar Hero.

I think the OP's point is it might steal sales away from GH Aerosmith.

I have no interest in buying GH Aerosmith and would definitely buy some tracks for Rock Band, so I'd be game for this. I wouldn't buy all of the songs, but certainly some of their biggest hits.

Working at EBgames I've been finding this to be a very common misconception. Guitar Hero Aerosmith is not coming with every Aerosmith song. It's not even coming with a Quarter of them. It's coming with roughly 20 on disc Aerosmith tracks plus an assortment of songs "Selected by Aerosmith" to join their game.

I'm not very happy with this product... it shows a level of money-grubbery previously untouched in this otherwise fun-loving game genre.

So while it would be pretty cool to get a best-of Aerosmith pack.. I doubt the band Aerosmith is likely to agree to their entire discography appearing in a single game.

Time will tell if they had to sign an exclusive agreement with Guitar Hero for this pack... and if they did, then I'm even more angry about GH:Aerosmith... because it's freezing up assets that should otherwise be free.

Just look at what's happened to the Football franchise. I don't wanna see that happen to music games.

Yeah, I know it's highly unlikely - but I also would think it's just as unlikely that Aerosmith did sign an exclusive contract with Activision, because it's pretty limiting. Especially when the game was first advertised as a competitor to Rock Band (remember "Sing as Steven Tyler!"), it wouldn't make sense for them to limit their options.

That being said, a 'best of' aerosmith pack would be a great killer for GH:A. (And yes, I did know that GH:A does not contain every Aerosmith track.)
