I really think the updates are actually getting worse, its hard to improve on a song announcement, maybe IGN doesn't understand that. Unless Thursday and Friday are amazing (which I doubt considering Tuesday and Wednesday) IGN really didn't make good on their promise of 5 days of increasingly good Rock Band coverage.

I understand that they can't play more than 30 seconds of these songs because of licensing issues, but you think they could at least do what Game Informer did with that one video and place a bunch of 30 second clips in a row, in one vid so at least we get some good footage of hte game as a whole. These 30 seconds snippets aren't really worth the time it takes the browser to load them.

Well said. That GI video has entertained me many a-time. Plus for the GI video you don't have to hear someone "sing" on top of the audio tracks.

edit: Hey at least there's no "Wooooo!" in this video :D Although I anticipated it throughout the entire video. Still kinda ruined it for me....funny how that works

Yea I do find it really weird that GH is able to get these full videos up and going, but only the 30 seconds of RB ones. Before GH:80s came out IGN had like half of the FULL SONG videos....which was cool.

I did I like the video tho. It really increases the excitment for the game, and hearing about the achievements too today, that was a treat as well. :)

It's licensing issues. Plus, those 4 GHIII songs are on the demo that's being circulated all over anyway. The reason previous games like GH:80s and GHII were able to have full song videos taken from them is because since those are covers the license is different than the master tracks that are in GHIII and Rock Band.

I agree the achievements thing was more interesting news today, and this is coming from a guy with a PS3.

I'm not a huge fan of achievements in games in general (though not opposed either), but in a game like Rock Band, it definitely gives you more of a reason to play the same songs over and over.
