So we know IGN dropped the ball with The Pixies album date before fixing that, and now they have this up.

Quote from the sub-headline...
The Rock Band Music Store hits a DLC benchmark with more than 200 songs and 12 million downloads.
I sure would be interested to know where the other 49 DLC songs are. There will be over 200 tracks total available to play in Rock Band, but not 200 DLC songs to play to my knowledge.
For a site that gets so much traffic, they should try to concentrate more on using actual checked facts in their write ups.

Further down the article, this is posted:
"With the addition of these tracks there are now more than 200 tracks available to date via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at http://www.rockband.com/dlc)"
So they weren't clear in the beginning of the article.

No real point except this is the second day in a row they have posted something about Rock Band that is not indeed a fact. I'm sorry. Does that bother you? Do you work for IGN?
I am someone who expects people to at least attempt to get articles right when presenting them to the public. My bad for having expectations I suppose.
I wasn't trying to "Burn" anyone. I was just pointing out yet another IGN flub.

I'm just impressed you found the absolute most important place to criticize an editor.
IGN most certainly has seen this post and will edit their article, thanks, Real!

It seems to me they maybe counting songs from the disc aswell which wouldn't be a lie if you said RB has over 200 songs including dlc.
EDIT:you didn't read the whole article did you? They do state songs off the disc are included in that total.

I don't have a login at IGN. It's my bad really. I will private message you before I start a thread next time to get your approval. Or better yet, if you see I have started a thread...just stay out of it. That will work better and you won't have to waste your time making comments even more pointless than the original one.

I agree totally, but that isn't what the quoted line in the OP says. I just think journalism in general has become a very lazy practice (not just on IGN either). It's almot like people don't care if they get it right as long as they get it out. You know, like the XBox360 (RRoD issue). What is so concerning is that so many people are accepting of grade school level journalism these days.

You know, a lot of times when people read news they tend to read the lead and the headline and not go on though. Leads and headlines are supposed to be enough to get the gist while the article details things out for a person.
I did read the whole thing and the fact that they state it one way in one place and a different way in another place makes it that much worse to me.

FYI. That is two sentences right there. Not one. Do you need me to tell you where the period should go?
Never claimed to be anything of an English proffessional. The mistake I see in the sub headline has nothing to do with poor English.
