October 18, 2007 - Everybody loves a dude who plays plastic guitar. Chicks, for example, are all over The Ignorant Sluts' lead guitarist. Even the bassist gets more action than the lead singer and drummer. But with all the focus on the guitarist, people neglect that sexy little piece of hardware he's playing. That's why we here at IGN decided to devote our fourth day of coverage to the plastic guitar that comes with the game. Specifically, the buttons.
We've started by interviewing the lead guitarist of the Ignorant Sluts to see what he has to say about it. "I have buttons on my shirt, but, you know, they're totally different from the buttons on this guitar," he said, staring millions of miles into the distance. "For example," he continued, "when I button up my shirt in the morning, I usually get a few holes confused and I end up with my head sticking out of the front pocket." He lifelessly strummed a few chords. "The green button's my favorite," he awkwardly continued. "It's my favorite because I... I really like green."
Speaking of the green button, you can hold it down when you play lower notes. For example, if you see a red note coming up, you can hold both the green note and the red note down and then strum, and you'll still get the note. It's this author's favorite button, too. Not that the other notes are to be neglected. An informal office poll at IGN informed me that while green enjoyed a comfortable lead, orange and yellow were surprisingly popular.
Well, that's all we have time for today! Enjoy this new video!
They also have a thirty-second video of Suffragette City (HD) Too bad they don't show the solo.
Disappointing.

That was an enjoyable read. :D Nicely done!
I seriously would not be surprised if this is how Day 4 of Rock Band week turns out.
I hope the actual IGN article is only slightly better.
The article could have been their day 4 easily, it's sad that it is almost believable. IGN better do something big today or tomorrow, they need redemption.

Hah!
I just went to the IGN video page for Rock Band, and at the bottom there's an advert for Guitar Hero III from AT&T Blueroom.
Funny stuff

The end of the last article said to find out more next week or something like that, so looks like it's going to be a bit of a wait.

They were saying they would have an article on the drums next week. They still have to do some Rock Band coverage today and tomorrow as part of their 5 day Rock Band week coverage.
