Was looking around and I have yet to see a place that is offering any extra swag with a pre-order, like with the Guitar Hero pre-order from Red Octane (Guitar Strap, Gig Bag etc.). Was just wondering if I am the only one still waiting for a slick pre order deal to come along or if I should just bite the bullet and pre-order from Amazon/Gamestop/BB. Like a lot of you already have.

I am just concerned that if I pre-order now I might miss out on a cool Sean Baptiste action figure or something. That would be upsetting to say the least.

I don't think there will be any places offering extra swag. I haven't seen any yet and I don't think Rockband.com will be selling the bundle directly. I think you might just want to bite the bullet. If some better offer comes around you can always cancel your pre-order and get the bundle + swag.

I'm surprised to see that EA isn't accepting pre-orders. So there's no buying direct.

The bundle will be in short supply this holiday, so there's not much incentive for individual retailers to offer extras. Maybe Circuit City will give away a points card like they did with GH2.

Also, hurry up. I think someone said in another thread that Amazon isn't taking preorders anymore.

Ya but I have heard that when Amazon.com runs out of it's initial supply of pre-orders it defaults to the next 3rd party retailer on the list and they are free to charge what they want for the product. So it could be that Amazon has sold all their pre-orders and some sleezeball online retailer is marking up the Rock Band faithful.

Oh well time to go into that gamestore of which I don't speak and deal with the uber1337 videogame gods and place a pre-order. Hopefully I can escape without being forced to pre-order Halo 4 too.

And a Sean Baptiste action figure.
Come on EA make this happen Sean could be our spiritual advisor and Band manager, all from the comfort of the top of my center speaker! It would be the bundle to end all bundles!!

Just because the MSRP is $169 doesn't mean Amazon can't charge $199 for a game in high demand with low supply.

I'm not saying Amazon is marking up the price, but it's certainly their right to do so.

Good point. Makes sense. But only if it's not available elsewhere.
Why preorder with a place for $30 more, when you can do the same thing with another store? I'd understand if everywhere didn't have it available.

To be clear. Amazon isn't charging $199. They were charging $169 for their pre-orders, until they ran out/stopped. Since then, Target is now selling their pre-orders through Amazon, which is what the $199 is -- Target's price, not Amazon's.

Ahh okay. So it's Target being misinformed. Someone mentioned that before, I didn't know it was Target selling it ON Amazon. I guess I misinformed myself as well heh.

All this misinforming is very informing.

Okay, I really need to pre-order, but I've no idea where.

Help!

Best Buy, Circuit City, EB Games, Gamestop, Walmart. Just about any major game retailer.

Here (http://www.rockband.com/game_info) is a list right on the RB Main Page, over to the right.

Which do I know I can trust to get me this game on Day 1?

Um. Nothing is really ever guaranteed. But your best bet is with BB, GS, or CC. At least in my opinion.

Oh. This is why I wish we could pre-order directly like we can with GH3..

I'm not gonna be getting to any of the tour events, so I would really love some free swag for preordering the bundle. :(

I would do an in-store pre-order if you want it on Day 1. This isn't to say it can't show up in the mail on the street date, but particularly if it comes out on Black Friday, it can be a bit risky.
