Well, we all have our hopes for our one and only obsession of a song we want in Rock Band, or maybe it's the amazing, unannounced mode that we have no idea about that could make the game 100x better (This does not include Endless Setlist). And we know IGN is promising the best for last. What do you want as the Day 5 announcement? I'll make a list of people's predictions, if someone manages to guess correctly, massive psychic kudos.

My prediction is they will talk all about DLC. They will focus on the potential or maybe even official prices as well as possibly revealing some new DLC songs. I would guess they would either talk about Nirvana or Metallica DLC.

They will do something relating to a hard guitar song.

Whether they show a video of Highway Star, announce a hard guitar song, or even announce the final encore on guitar, I predict it will be something guitar.

After all, most of the people reading are GH fans, so chances are that IGN knows that we want to know what's in RB for us.

BTW, on an unrelated note, although today's entry was dissapointing, Gamespy will get a preview written by Sluggo (their GH veteran), so that might be something to distract.

I'm not sure this was IGN's RB week, but it sure seems to be a RB week.

If they're really building up to bigger and better things like they claimed, then I'm hoping for a DLC announcement. My guesses are either clarification of current DLC (exactly which Metallica songs and which Grateful Dead songs) or announcing new DLC album/game disc songs (Boston and Police seem most likely). I don't think DLC pricing will be announced until some point after Guitar Hero III's DLC pricing is known.

(I still really want to hear about that gameplay mode no one has divulged any info about yet, but I doubt tomorrow will deal with that.)

Not to be a negative nancy but I have a feeling we've been unveiled to all the modes (well we still haven't got a look at the Tutorial modes but it's better if that's a surprise). It's just a matter of looking more in-depth into these modes. We pretty much know all about Tug-O-War and Score Duel, thanks to GameSpot we know a lot more about Band World Tour Mode and as far as Solo Tour is concerned it's probably safe to assume its the GH style tiering. The one thing I'd like to see an extensive feature on would be the Online mechanics.

EDIT: Wait what is this mode that no one has described yet?

I got to play a mode of the game we haven't really shown off at all and I can honestly say it was one of the funnest things I have ever played in video games. I think it may actually be something of an awesome breakout thing to do. The second I can talk more about it I will, I just had to say something - it was that awesome.

My guesses would be either some kind of new competitive mode involving different instruments (that is, not just head-to-head on the same instrument) or some kind of remixing mode like from their earlier games. However, I think a remix mode is fairly unlikely, though I'd love to see one.

I hope Sean tells us more about whatever mode it ends up being as soon as he's allowed to.

Wow that has me even more excited. I thought we had seen all the modes because we saw the menus of the game and it seemed like everything was covered. But I guess this was recently added and the older builds didn't have it.

Pretty sure slash doesn't have rights to GNR anymore. I think someone said on VH1 when they were doing a GNR thing, Slash was talking about how Axl said he'd quit the bands if he didn't let him have the rights to GNR or some bs. I'd believe that because Axl was/is sort of a dick.

Axl owns the rights to Guns N' Roses. Has since 1992/1993. He also has lended the GN'R name to many video games, commercials, so it's not like he doesn't put GN'R songs out there. GHII had SCOM. Axl was the radio DJ in GTA: San Andreas, and WTTJ was in that game.

HMX shouldn't have a problem signing GN'R.

Yeah Axl is very laidback (without selling out) towards GN'R licensing and Rock Band is the kind of marketable atmosphere I know Axl would want a piece of.

I always liked his approch to whom he does and doesn't give rights to. He's easy going but not nearly as free as say KISS. I like Axl's way of business. I really do.
