Christian Music

I listen to a lot of christian music and I know what you guys probably think. You probably think that its really slow and boring but there is really good christian rock. Me and my friends really want Rock Band to put some christian bands on there.

There are some pretty good Christian rock bands, but I really wouldn't hold my breath for them, unless they are bands that get played on mainstream radio stations as well, ala Switchfoot.

Like it or not, having songs talking about loving god are likely to alienate some people. Just as hardcore Satanic rock would.

Music should earn it's way in based on it's merit and how fun it would be to play, not because it conveys a certain message.

Unfortunately, Christian rock threads tend to attract a lot of religious/anti-religious flaming.

I'm going to keep this open for now in case people want to actually discuss the bands the OP mentioned, but I'll be keeping my eye on it and will lock it if things get out of hand.
