Has anyone had an issues with the switch mechanism that turns the kik mechanism into an electrical signal for Rock band. I picked up two pedals now one works fine but the other the ring was too low and now the switch wont pop back up. I Am debating about replacing this myself but would like to hear from Omega first. I have emailed them three times with no assistance

I have fiddled many times with my pedal. I have moved the sensor all over the "arm" to suit my adjustments of playing with beater or without and trying to eliminate the micro bounce. I would try and tackle it yourself as I do not view myself as a handy man in any way. However, Omega's lack of customer service is a bit alarming and could be a future concern.

its just a micro switch. you can pick one up cheap at radio shack, and then just use some hockey tape to hold it on.

i got you, I misunderstood....
yes, if you could get a switch you should have no problems at all. glue gun, and friction tape (hockey tape) and your good to go. if you do find a switch let me know if you don't mind as I will feel better knowing I can do the same to mine down the road. I have had my pedal for a while but who knows how long the plastic switch will last getting hit by the metal from the pedal.

the same switch is available at radioshack.com and their stores. It's 2.99.

You just remove the metal piece and you got the a VERY similar switch to the one that came with the pedal.
I had a little problem with I started to adjust the nut by the switch and the little grey switch tab stayed recessed but all I did was just keeping pressing down and it came back up after like 10 secs.
Good luck

What if you just kept the metal tab on there? Wouldn't that make the friction happen on the metal instead of the actual micro switch tab? My tab has a little groove in it from the constant use and I know it's only a matter of time before it stops registering.

I really don't know if it still would work correctly. You can leave the metal tab all you want, but is it going to work like it should is another question in itself.
I have only had the pedal for about 2 weeks now and just started playing with exclusively since I finally dialed it in right without the double hitting. I'll check the grey tab when I get home and see the damage. I am going to be getting like 2 or 3 more of those switches because I believe if you switch fails out, the makers of the pedal do not sell the switch, and seems like they don't return emails regarding malfunction of the pedal either. Although they have a warranty on the pedal.
They always answer my questions regarding inventory though, like within the same day sometimes. Weird

i had no problems with omega's customer survice. my switch died as it was mounted too high like yours, i email alex at omega and a few days later he sent out a new switch and pack with instructions on how to fix it, and i live in the UK.

Well there you go. When did this happen? Were you one of the early adopters to the pedal?
You know, before word got out about it and everyone and there aunt bought a pedal within a week of each other :)
