ok, i am a drummer who learns by himself. I dont take lessons. Never will. I learn these thibngs on my own. I already can play some songs. only thing is, i want to play some angels and airwaves songs and some other songs. Can some1 give me a sheet music website or a place I can find the notes for this song? SOme how so I can hera the drums. JUST the drums. or. sheet music. Also, i have only been playing songs without some special drums like the cymbals and stuff like a splash (dont have) do i HAVE to have those?

I just want the notes to play some ava songs and maybe a site that shows me any notes for any songs.

Sheet music will be in drum teaching books you get a music store.....internet then you get 80% drum tabs. If you wanting to learn songs than it is 99% tabs. They dont really have many songs which are actual written in the traditional 5 space staff.

For tabs I use 911tabs.com or ttabs.com, which both have drum tabs. Ttabs is the best in my opinion but 911tabs give links to many different sites.

On equipment, no you do not HAVE to have splash cymbals and other things like that. Though you should still play those hits (normal cymbals).

lol i did double take on that one as well.

as for the OP... dude... just play it with your feelings. Last thing you want to become is a copy-cat, breathing drum machine.

OK OK OK guy's I shall let you in on my TOP SECRET lesson learning course. I should charge money for it actually....

1. www.youtube.com
2. search the song you want to learn + drums
3. click on a video of someone playing the song well
4. record it with a microphone, you got the song and the drum infront of the music!
5. put it on mp3/cd/cassette/ect.......drum along
6. PERFECT IT!
