Queen, The Real Rock Band

Surely i'm a fan of Queen,
but with all onesty I think that there are too many songs that will guarantee a surely success of this promising videogame.
I don't want to write all their success, but I'm sure that Queen deserves to be in game.
This is the Real Rock Band for me.

A really nice guitarist, surely one of the best ever

A nice bassist

I'm a big fan of Queen too. I think the song should come from an early album. I suggested Sheer Heart Attack, from News of the World, it would be a nice challenge for all the parts. Other choices i would consider: Great King Rat, Liar, Ogre Battle, March of the Black Queen, Stone Cold Crazy, The Prophet Song, Seaside Rendez-vous (!), Death on Two Legs, It's Late, Tie Your Mother Down, Millionnaire Waltz (great bass line on that one)... ah well, i could go on and on... Maybe a Queen expension for Spring '08? ;o)

And btw, Deacon is so underrated! A great bass player.

I'd like to see a good popular Queen song, one that everyone has heard. New songs we've never heard before or songs that were maybe "B" (or even "C" lol) sides can be great, but when you have a great song that EVERYONE knows (the beat and/or the words!), I think it makes it a lot more fun.

Stone Cold Crazy is a killer song but isn't anywhere near as popular as a lot of their other tunes...but we definitely need more queen (cowbell lol)

Really? Have you heard or seen them live? They have absolutely incredible stage presence, particularly Mercury, who I dare say was the best frontman who ever lived. Their work is wide in variety, and certainly unique, and always fun to sing along.

You must be thinking of We Will Rock you/Another One Bites the Dust/We are the Champions. Rock You/Champions are meant to be stadium chants, and Another one is just a kickass bass song. Freddie wrote incredibly complex works on occasion, notably Bohemian Rhapsody. In fact, it was too complex to perform the capella live (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bohemian_rhapsody#Lyrics_and_structure)

Their theatrical elements were unparalleled. They are widely hailed as such. I guess it isn't your cup of tea, but it doesn't make them suck.

Overblown? I think they provided consistent hits throughout their career, along with the startling song Bohemian Rhapsody, to propell them to such regard. They can't be so popular for so long and acclaimed for so long and be overblown.

As for arena rock, that is only one facet, really what they became. In the beginning, there were no arenas for them. They simply transcended there, and thrived.

Queen would be great in Rock Band, amazingly great. I'm sure them being in will boost sales of it in the UK by a bloody lot too. Queen is played still at most places I go especially at discos and that and they are still bloody popular and in my min deserve to be for being so bloody incredible live.

I hate how people don't like bands and when it comes down to explaining why, we find out they know like 10 or so songs (not directing this toward you Rev0lver). You can categorize the <I>main</I> style of a band, but not every single song of theirs goes under that genre. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but when I discover a band, I discover everything about the band. I find it exciting, and music history/looking up local bands/new bands has become a hobby of mine. Some of you music critics should take this up and start appreciating the damn music.
